The later cars had seat belts on the pillars not on the doors. Sounds like you're trying to convert it back with the wrong interior... Not sure if the belts etc are the same.

You'll be amazed how the extra width improves the handling. Probably the best mod I've done without intention :D

A guy I used to work for was killed while driving home from the pub like that :eek: It was a long straight dark country lane that people used to speed on all the time. Maybe just the connector plug has come off? It's in the centre of the plenum under the cover if I remember rightly...
