  2. There's no wonder there's no mrs bunny when you're into Extreme Shitting LOL
  3. Yeah plug one in before you go to bed so you don't repeat last nights incident!
  4. Would that be possible?
  5. It's all explained by the shop he's visiting :D  Would you dare drive round in that! (or even a standard one) :xxx:
  6. Maybe something like PayPal could be used and monitored by the club in the same way the membership funds are handled? I've stopped buying stuff off here as I've been ripped off by 2 traders going out of business for substantial amounts...
  7. If you wanted a really quick 0-60 car you'd have been better with a small 4x4 hatch like a Pulsar GTiR - the 300ZX is really a GT car. The auto is actually quicker to 100mph than the manual so the box isn't really a problem at your stage. Replacing the diff with the NA version really helps at the expense of top speed but I like being able to do 185+ when needed. There's nothing like showing off by flooring it at 120mph and seeing cars disappear in your rear mirror like they were standing still :D First thing on an import is to fit the auto cooler which UK cars have, otherwise your box WILL die quite soon from overheating. You just need to do the usual power mods (350bhp is relatively easy and cheap to achieve) and that will knock the 0-60 down. You can get traction and launch control from Racelogic which I and a few others have fitted, but it's not really going to improve things on stock power. When you've got plenty of power you might consider a manual conversion if you really want to cane it off the line reliably. Haven't tested my 0-60 in a while but it must be around 4 secs I think :)
  8. Classic policies are usually for cars from about 15 years old but some are now 10 years like mine with Chaucer (Through Houghton Insurance) Yes I'm an old git at 35, in a very good area and it's limited to 3000 miles per year ;) but my car is an import with lots of mods. I've been with them about 4 years now and it's only gone up by about a tenner in that time :) Had a quote last year of £7500  I get the impression they didn't want my business!
  9. I'm only paying about £350 with all my mods declared
  10. How about buying a McLaren SLR and putting the engine and box in your Z? ;)
  11. I'd get out from under the duvet or it's going to get really messy
  12. Cheeky git! You wouldn't see me complaining anyway ;) :p
  13. Presume it's some sort of pyramid scheme... The first few in on it get some big money then everyone else ends up with nothing.
  14. 6.5 years and £30K later mine is just about as I want it :) Would consider a very good offer though ;)
  15. He's ****ed up the sound big style and what a tit LOL My Z sounds 10 times better than that and just as loud :D
  16. Would you like to withdraw this statement? He never delivered mine or the gauges before he disappeared

I don't really see what's so revolutionary about it when most PDA phones have been doing this stuff for years with touch screens and MP3/video playback
  18. They're bloody roasting mate, I wore one for my brothers wedding in Edinburgh and I've never had so many women chasing me in my life when we hit town after :D
  19. Wow! Where can I buy those Cartier seats? :D
  20. I much prefer that to all the previous ugly models which were just family saloons with minging kits bolted on. Front looks a bit R34GTR/New Skyline to me.
  21. They can all be recharged??? I got a big heavy duty Bosch one cheap, don't have the model No though LOL
  22. You could meet most of the UK if you're driving London to Scotland LOL Must be a special car for a drive like that, I hope it's better than your last choice! ;)
  23. Might as well get a turbo then but stay away from modding it or you'll soon end up in the world of Z debt LOL It's a fun place to be until the Visa bill arrives each month
  24. Neigh!!! I should hope not :D
  25. Yes  I had heard all the 600bhp on stock internals stories! I was running it relatively conservatively at 475bhp ish and it was running very nicely then a chunk fell out the side of the piston (ring lands?). Never even got to push the turbo's over 14psi :( Happens quite often I think. Macca had the same go on his and i've seen it on others. The pistons just aren't that strong. Above about 400bhp it's just not going to last and those turbo's will be good for 550bhp ish easy. If you're getting the engine out to do the turbo's etc then get forged internals put in as it's not going to cost a huge amount more at that stage. I was broke when my first engine went pop and like you, had the other bits ready for fitting so i tried to keep costs down and just did turbo's, injectors etc. It lasted about 9 months!
