  1. Congrats! Just take it easy, you don't need much power to get it spinning out in the wet and on salt covered roads this time of year. Might be worth finding an damp empty car park and practice getting it sideways so you know what to do as sooner or later it WILL suprise you.
  2. and I'm glad you found my input on winter activities usefull!
  3. I'm sure Mac will be back one day. I think he's busy with his 3 birds at the moment ;) I had a year when I hardly posted but I'm kind of hooked again as I'm not working. There's a reason not many of us are still here and that's there's not many stupid enough to stick with rebuilding these bloody cars
  4. You won't have to wait long Greg
  5. It's not often you'll catch me out like that! Doh! Anyway that's not the point! I can still READ it even if it's spellt rong!

Yes but sometimes it's contaminated by SMOKERS  Oops!
  8. Yes I got tought at school. You can still get help with reading through evening classes at your local school/college I think.
  9. I did a search of all Indians posts the other night looking for something and it makes for highly amusing reading  ... but it's not in book form?
  10. That's because FunkyScrooge hides in the house over the Christmas period
  11. 1, Skiing 2, Snowboarding 3, Sledging 4, Snowball fights 5, Make Snowmen
  12. I've had some nice flaps on my Z at JAE and Trax but they fell off as I drove away
  13. Yeah I loved my auto but you can do a manual conversion for the same or less money now and it's far less likely to go wrong in future, especially if you're going for more power. The Razo did make my silver spaceship look more like a Cylon fighter off Battlestar Galactica though :D
  14. Mine needed work doing that I can't afford right now so I've taken it off the road for a few months (yet again). My traction control hasn't worked since it was at Grasshopper and without it on 285 tyres and big power it's just plain scary on greasy, salt covered wet roads. If it snows the tyres turn into something like a sledge at each corner with ABS just to ensure it has no chance of stopping! It's a nightmare at this time of year, especially for those who have just bought their first powerful RWD car and every winter on here there's a couple of newbies write off their cars. Take care and save the power for spring! :)
  15. That's half way to the price of a manual conversion and at least you won't find yourself having to sell it when the auto box dies a month after fitting it like on mine
  16. "Hey, this guy looks like my left tit!"
  17. Do we get to see the puppies noses this time? :D
  18. You can usually get the connector and a piece of harness cut from a breaker. Ask one of the guys in the traders section on here. I got one for fitting a second AFM to my car for just a few quid.
  19. Is that your top coat or base coat?
  20. Metallic is to give the paint sparkle but it doesn't give a very smooth finish on it's own so a top clear coat is there to enhance and seal it I think. Red is usually red! Most metallic reds tend to be burgundy type colours or candy apple stuff.
  21. I'm no paint expert but 2 pack paint isn't 2 coats... I'm not saying yours doesn't have a clear coat but sounds odd to me.
  22. You can do your own with clear glue and bin liners from Asda. I got mine done professionaly but I know you have your own unique way of doing things ;)
  23. Why? Just for bling??? LOL  Never heard of that before.
  24. What colour is your car? The classic use for T-Cut is when you see red cars with bodywork thats faded to pink or a white haze over it. It comes up like new. Metallic cars tend to just lose their shine or in the case of silver it dulls and goes a bronzey shade. Worked wonders on my silver Z when I first got it.
  25. Metalic paint has a clear lacquer on top which can yellow over time. T-Cut Metalic rubs a micro fine layer of it away back down to good clear lacquer so your paint is returned to the original colour. Standard T-Cut is for regular paint colours that don't have a clear coat so it's the paint itself thats rubbed away making it look like new.
