  1. LOL thats it then! I'll dig the bottle out and see what I need to plug back in. Thanks :)
  2. Thats what I thought but I haven't disconnected anything other than the small bottle type thiing that had 2 connectors on it
  3. Have you taken the pod off and checked its plugged in properly? 2 screws underneath it to remove.
  4. I ripped all the aircon stuff out the other weekend as it wasn't working and I was wanting to lose weight LOL Since doing this the outside temp display on the dash pod is showing -86 or something. Do I need to reconnect something? Presume I've chucked out the ambient temp sensor with all the junk but I didn't notice it. The only thing I unplugged that I can think of is the small bottle type thing (dryer?) under the bumper.
  5. LOL what have tyre pressures got to do with it???
  6. Spent all night fixing niggly faults! Bad earth on a front fog so had to open it up and run a new earth to chassis. Rear number plate light out so replaced. Changed my headlights as I was using one HID and one normal bulb LOL (trader sent me a faulty HID kit then went bust) Battery wasn't fixed down so replaced the clamps. Fitted a new horn as my old air horn compressor had seized due to no use. Rear fog switch had stopped working but a few presses got it sorted. Fingers crossed I've booked it in for tomorrow :)
  7. Why spoil the best colour??? :D Nice car mate :)
  8. Replace the 2 small metal pipes behind the water pipes on the front of the engine. I'd replace the water pump if it hasn't been done at 60K with the cambelt. The pipes are dead cheap and a common failure and they come off anyway to do the cambelt. You can get a 60K service kit from Z1 Motorsports I think which is a bit of a bargain, inc water pump, cambelt etc etc. Sounds like you already have boost jets so might as well leave em in :)
  9. Bet he was gutted. Although I wouldn't own up to that! :D
  10. I've seen those green ones before a long time ago but I'm not sure on the brand. I don't think anyone sells single ones so you'll have to get a pair. Smithy is about the cheapest and always gives good service: http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/susp.php I just got a set of those myself and they are superb quality. You might get something a fraction cheaper off eBay but I wouldn't trust them as they're a fairly critical suspension part really. They are dead easy to fit but you will need to get the wheel alignment done after as you don't really have anything to measure it against with the old one being broken. You could adjust it to roughly the right length but you might end up with more tyre wear and expense in future.
  11. My old heap of a Vauxhall "Ashtray" Estate wasn't happy in the floods, the fanbelt started slipping every time it got wet and the alternator light came on which is quite worrying in the middle of a flood LOL Would never take my Z near a deep puddle, never mind a flood!
  12. It might cause tyre wear on one side due to the toe in being out but not on both I wouldn't have thought. That's more likely to be due to bigger wheels/tyres, lowered suspension or camber being out of alignement. The tension rod takes all the strain when braking and cornering so without it your suspension could collapse.
  13. Anybody got a list of what is tested at MOT? Got mine soon and want to give it a good check over myself first :)
  14. Have to agree. Most kit car companies wouldn't let that design out of the factory so why Bristol expect people to pay £200,000+ for it defies belief! Save yourself £150K and get a nice looking Viper or if it's luxury you're after at least waste your moolah on an Aston or something!
  15. You can either fit them in place of the stock recirc valves or get a set of hard pipes in front of the throttle bodies and weld them on there. Either way it's a pain without a fitting kit as you'll have to make up the pipework yourself.
  16. Are they the Strosek wheels? Edit: Just checked some pics and I don't think they are.
  17. I can  Most of the mechanics working at the main dealers were only just born when these cars were in the showrooms LOL
  18. Will you be respraying the Z green and fitting an electric motor too? LOL
  19. Sounds like rose jointed tension rods to me - there's no other rose joints on the front end. One of these? Not sure that will be repairable, you might have to buy a new one or a set. Smithy sells them so he might be worth a call. I wouldn't drive it until you get that fixed as it will be putting a lot of strain on the suspension and I would think it could be quite dangerous.
  20. You already asked this on another post today
  21. Recirculating valves put the air back into the system so without them you are dumping air which has been measured and therefore your mixture and idle is all wrong. Dump valves often need adjusting and tweeks to the mapping to get the car running right after fitting.
  22. LOL that has to be the worst pic of me I've ever seen and that's saying something LOL
  23. I think the problem is having the meet at Billing the week before JAE and most people can't travel and stay over at both 2 weeks running. Shame really as if they were further apart I'm sure people would go to both.
  24. It looks like the 3 members aren't around anymore so not much chance of getting it back. It's just a shame people can't be trusted.
