  1. Had mine 4.5 years. Been off the road for 2 of those  As Vijay says, nothing else legal gives you such a grin
  2. Yes, I think that will be the next question. How much oil do I put on and when can I refit it?
  3. LOL there are loads now but back then they were hard to find. The first 2 i had my name on never came through. One was crushed by an insurance company and the other got sold for more cash after I'd said I'd have it :(
  4. You can give me a hand by delivering drinks from the beer tent :D
  5. You'll be lucky to find those without importing yourself. I had to wait 9 months for 2+2 versions. Not good when the car was already stripped down ready for fitting!
  6. Just wiggle the dipstick about a bit and hope it pushes the bits back into place - Sorted! You've got to laugh... or
  7. You can usually tell by the big sticker that Nissan put on them but Mines may have removed it. There are 3 or 4 types with 21, 22, 23 etc on them but I'm not sure which way round they are LOL There's also a proper Nissan part number so this may be listed on the parts CD? I've been meaning to investigate this for a while now.
  8. Oh man! Hope you get it sorted soon mate. Are you sure it's not just bent a valve?
  9. Did you put it back when you found out it was actually under the dash? :D ;)
  10. About NOW! should be OK :D ;)
  11. Does the ECU actually have different circuitry though? I've looked at a few and can't really see any difference. I would have thought it was just the ROM that's different. Has anyone tried a manual ECU with Auto ROM in an Auto Z?!
  12. Fitting an AFR wouldn't fix it anyway! You might be able to correct the problem with it but unless you set it up on a rolling road and can get the true air figures it's no use. Sounds like they are trying to find excuses to book it in for a tuning session to me!
  13. I'll be up for this in a few weeks when my Z is sorted.
  14. Sounds good mate
  15. Corrrect and FACT, FACT!
  16. wait until it is no longer wet... :D
  17. and yes the fuel goes off over time so that will make it rough.
  18. These geese get everywhere
  19. If you're going to ask a question you need to be a bit more specific! Saying your turbo's aren't working then a vague post about no it's not moving is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. It sounded like the car wouldn't move or something. If you'r turbo's weren't working it would be running rough, stalling etc. Try taking your Z to a Nissan dealer and saying "it's not moving" and see what funny looks you get. If it's only going to 2500rpm it will be the MAF (air meter sensor) under the panel between the headlights that's either gone faulty or has bad connections. Chris.
  20. Hoping i might be in that northern convoy but it's going to be close getting the Z finished
  21. So far we have deduced that something isn't moving and it hasn't moved for 18 months. This has to be the vaguest post we've ever had. Next question: Are the wheels turning? Yes/No
  22. It said max 20psi on the bottle so I tried it at about 15 then 10 and it still did it  :( I'll give it another go!
  23. If it's saying the CAS is faulty and the connections to it are good...
  24. I'll try to sort out some pics, they are in pretty good condition but I'm wanting some fancy ones instead ;) Apache, My Z is off the road at the moment but I'll be in touch.
