well the fella across the road to me has a triumph tr6 so after chatting to him for a while we got onto insurance, classic car insurance, he said as long as you have 2 cars and use the zed for weekends and low miles you are laughing!! hmm i thought ill give it a go got some numbers off him and the first company i called was CARROLE NASH went through all the details and then i got the quote of a life time get this £291 yes £291 its not an error :shock: :shock: so if you have 2 cars and are not using the zed that often have ago i think you will be very pleased :hyper: :hyper: dewi

having my front and rear screen removed for spraying the car, the man from anglesey windscreens used to do all the work on the mazda 323 turbo rally car, so very soon we were chatting about the raised boost in my zed, i told him it was raised from standard 9psi to 13.5psi. what he said was if your in first gear flat out no mater for how long the temp in the turbo wouldent go above 300 degrees, for second no more than about 400 and 3rd about 500 but when in top gear he said the heat would carry on building up like a compressor cos the car is under load and if its going to go bang it will be this time flat out in top gear, intresting cos mine went when i was doing a mile sprint poped at 140mph :shock: im running 13.5 psi and an se chip, now this man has got me thinking, i dont want to blow my engine again but i still want to piss on evos and scoobies should i lower my boost and if so by how much, i can be quite heavy with my right foot but i want a reliable car, :hyper: dewi

hi guys, got a aftermarket rear bumper to fit to the z and i need a close up pic of how the rear numberlpate lights go onto the bumper as i have to cut a little section out of the bumper!! i sold my origional bumper a while ago so i have no idea which way round to put the plate that holds the lights doh!! any help much appreceated :hyper: :hyper:

hello guys. just thought this might be of help to you as you know my zed has been of the road now for 2 years ( no jokes please its breaking my heart ) LOL!! :shock: ok then the zed is in my garage with the rear of the interior stripped out no front or rear bumper no doors no roof glass ( roof panels completely stripped glass removed) its all coming off to do a full restoration and respray with a nice body kit, i thought it might be usfull to tell you lot if any one want to know what is behind any of the panels or trim or anything to save you stripping panels of your own zed :hyper: hope this is of some help to someone ;)

know the feeling well guys been off the road now for 2years nearly, really hate it when i see posers going round in there beemers and scoobys not forgetting the nova and corsa boys!! looking at me in my sensible audi 80, just wait a little while longer and i will be tearing up the tarmac round here well worth the wait i hope!!

i will be calling haughton for a quote soon but how does the second car insurance work do i use my 7years no claims for the zed and then have to start fresh with the other car??

back in the days when i owned a mazda 323f i also wanted the carbon trim around the dials, cheapest way i did was to buy that foliatec stick on carbon film and apply round the plastic trim with a hairdryer, just a thought for ya!! :dance:

i have scrapped my interior lights and fitted neon rope around the dashboard looks really good but you cant see sweet f.a. would be intrested in this kit, depends on the price though.

saw a nice switch on the potn website http://cars.potn.com/product_info.php/cPath/2913_3185/products_id/1812021 looks really nice and i think you can fit it in the ciggi lighter hole great if you dont smoke, i am seriously thinking bout getting one, just think lifting that ashtray flap to reveal the shiny starter switch bit like mr bond LOL!!

hi there matty, yep not to keen on the elecy aerial myself, was thinking about the bee sting type to put on the roof but it looks a bit difficult cos there seems to be a box section where i want to mount it, the windscreen aerial sounds a good idea but i have heard that the reception can be quite poor or am i confused with the mobile phone windscreen antenae has anyone here got a bee sting or glass mount aerial. dewi ap

yep that spoiler weighs a ton, i have just fitted the tailgate skin and fiberglass spoiler and the difference is amazing !! the boot lid just flie's up with no effort at all!!

i use a good old acustic gutar, being playing for a bout a year and a half and can just about play house of the rising sun!! i was offerd a place in a band last week!! as a van driver LOL!!!

if its an auto i did find that where the cluch pedal should link to the clutch it has been blanked off, i have fed some cables and boos hose through here!
