  1. u need an old bottle of fairy liquid, and an old washing powder box, used with a little double sided tape and paper mache and you too can have a bumper like mine :dance:

  6. hey baggins they looks the mutts nuts, what model 3000gt are the disks from are they the vr4 model?? do you have the dba disks part number, do i only need to make new brackets for the calipers or is there more involved cheers

  8. jacked my car up and held the rear wheels and i could physicaly move them side to side, i think i need new bushes where is the best place to get them from, there is no listing at the z centre i had a look, i think i need the rear lower arm bushes, rear upper arm bushes rear arm that goes around the strut !! bushes i found these not sure if any good though anyone else tried them http://www.superflex.co.uk/SuperFlex_Nissan_200SX,_300ZX-Z32_Prices.pdf not sure which i need though??
  9. yep got the neons around the dash looks very cool at night must be seen to be appreceated its very thin neon rope about 5mm and 8ft long goes from drivers side, around the spedo console, down the centre console, up around the glove box, i have some pics but dont know how to reduce the bytes to 256000 bytes to go on my post bet if macca saw it he would want one LOL!!

  11. just e-mailed 3g brakes for a price on there big disk conversion, which was a set of 310mm grooved rotors, and mounting brackets for my existing callipers!! the price was £425 is there a cheaper way of doing this conversion as all i need is the rotors and mounting brakets, if it came to the crunch i could manufacture my own brackets and i would only need the disks!! cheers

  13. the filters i used were the k&n RU2820 sorry i cant get any pics at the mo! this is the way i did it, on the se-nissan intake u will find that it is 2 pieces sandwiched 2gether with a rib all the way round it, the origional filters are a 70mm neck, now then i caerfully cut back a little bit of the rib on either side of the neck of the intake to allow the k&n to fit over, as the k&n has a 76mm neck just nice for fitting over it!, i sent an e-mail to K&n 2 ask about the off road statement and this was the reply:- Thank you for your enquiry. The off road/emission controlled situation applies mainly to USA . You have no problems in using them on or off road and no damaged will occur. The main difference is that the filter neck is heavier duty to withstand lots of vibration as would apply in an off road situation.   15. hi there willy ed & lymon, after reading your reply a few pieces started to fall into place!! no 1 i was using a copy'd chip for se-nissan which ran alright till the engine blew up!! no 2 there was a slight water leak on the engine so i added radweld to the mixture, now im sure someone told me the waterways in the casting are very fine, so when bumb ass ( me ) added the radweld it probably seriously reduced the cooling efficiency of the no 6 cylinder!! resulting in a very hight temp in the cylinder!! no 3 i was running 13.5 psi boost! ok so its a little higher than stock and raises the temp a bit but im sure the zed can cope with it!! ok then this is how the story went!! new turbo's fitted 13.5psi, new chip fitted, everything running fine for about 6 months, on way home one day on a private test track!! 140mph and a puff of smoke, shit i thought , dipstick blow out of hole!!, everytime i lift off throttle i got a puff of smoke!!, so i spoke to a few fellas and i fitted the turbo technics breather kit!! this solved the problem no more smoke!! so one day again on the test track about a month later, bout 70mph, kicked down lunged forward and all of a sudden a huge plume of smoke at every speed!! it was interesting what willy ed said about the oil in the bore, now then with my first experience of smoke it was probably a piston ring looking back and the breather only masked the problem but when i carried on driving more and more oil was pushed into the bore, burning away this coupled with the radweld probable finished my engine off!! sorry for the long post but i think this is what happend to my doomed engine!!
  16. hi simon, hmmm!! a very good question, i have checked the other pistons, and there is no visible damage to pistons or bore!! it looks like there was tremendous heat in cylinder 6 as it has melted the corner of the piston away and holed the corner too!! could a lean mix have done this?? when i drove it full bore i was getting the stones in a baked bean tin noise if you know what i mean LOL!!!
  17. yep i certainly am, i did have the se-nissan intake and thought it would be better to use the k&n filters instead of the filters that came with the se-kit, they certainly look the buisness will take some pics once i get my damn camera to work!!
  18. bought these k&n racing filters to go on the se-nissan maxiflow twin pop kit, and on the box it says:- for off road use only and marine applications not for emission controlled vehicles !! are they safe to use on my zed?? its a 1990 with a de-cat so emmisions are not that much of a problem!!
  19. finally got my old engine from gps, took it home and opened it up to find the reason for the huge smoke trails it was leaving behind, oh! yes! what a beauty piston number 6 had melted through, due to detonation, took some pics for you but the damn camera wont download, when i get it sorted will send a few pics as a warning to us all!! dewi ap

  21. iv, had a look on the chip and its a se copy!! but if its an exact copy of the origional chip there shouldent be any trouble with it should there!!

  23. yep its the old detonation again!! modified the zed with:- se-maxiflow twin pop intake turbo technics 13.5 psi 360 degree turbo's de-cat & stainless exhaust cat back and ofcourse the se-chip!! running this set up i hve had detonation which destroyed my last engine so i dont fancy it happening again! runs fine with the standard chip but with the se-chip i get detonation where am i going wrong?? any help appreceated cheers dewi ap
  24. hi there simon i have orderd the RU3120 filters but today kame across the k&nwebsite BHP formula according to K&N a single RU3120 allows 145 BHP if you use two of them you multiply by a factor of 1.6 so this gives us 145BHP x 1.6 = 232 BHP well below my 380BHP mods i have e-mailed the shop to tell them this so see what they say when i get a reply, just thought i would let you know of my findings dewi
