Thanks for the offer Pablito i managed to move the car in the end by removing my new calipers and fitting the wheels off my company car, The car is now back on axle stands waiting for wheels. Im just pissed off that they are trying to get me to pay as if im a new customer its their fault im in this situation. Im going to have to save the cash instead which will take even longer for the build to be finished.

Hi all I'm after a bit of advice i think Ive seriously been cheated here and not sure what can be done. Late may 2010 i was after a set of wheels for the zed so i could take the car off the axle stands and carry on with the build. I also had to change units so this would make things alot easier for transportation. I called a well known company for the brand of wheels i wanted and went for a package deal that was Rota GTR'D Wheels with 235/40/18 and 265/35/18Toyo T1r tyres and light weight nuts. The guy in charge of the wheels department gave me 5% discount and also included free delivery which is normally £15. The total came to £1510 which i was happy with. I decided to take out there apparently 6 easy step 6 month interest free credit they offer. So within days the paperwork arrived and i filled it in and sent it off. By the end of the week i found out that the agreement had been excepted so that should be the end of the story. All happy i ring the company which is an 0844 number so its not cheap you listen to the BS answer messaging when your waiting in que how they take pride in customer care etc etc. I finally get though thinking everything is going to be straight forward to hear.....Oh recently we have gone with a new creditor that use different procedure's in fact your our first! We haven't got any proof that you have been excepted yet. I'm then told not to worry they will ring the creditors and the they will ring me back. This is the start of the famous saying WE WILL RING YOU BACK?? as for over 6months now i think I've counted 2 return phone calls. To cut a longer story short they couldn't communicate with each other and the company found out that i had been excepted but wouldn't hold the wheels until the money showed up in their accounts which took another 2 weeks. I end up ringing the creditors as i cant get any sense out of the company. By this time I'm desperate for the wheels as i need to move units. The money clears and after more chasing them i find out that now the wheels are out of stock!! And basically a new shipment will be in within 2 weeks :no: I was told soon as the wheels come they will contact me as he has all the spec i want logged and not to worry. Well after many dates given and phone calls/emails to try find out any news they final date was Christmas eve! They also offered further discount because of what has happened. So i wait till after Christmas Jan the 5th in fact and send an email as by now my phone bills are costing me a lot of money. The reply to my email said this is our stock basically check yourself!! So i get sent an entire stock list and not an email saying yes we have the wheels you have been waiting for. I see that the wheels are in stock and send an email saying they are there whats happening next? I don't get any reply that day! So i email again saying whats going on? Still no reply..By this time I'm fuming Ive waited all this time and put up with all the phone bills and BS and they cant be arsed to even finish the deal. So yet again i call and find out the guy has been off sick and didn't tell anyone else about the wheels..GREAT! I then get a women telling the same crap ill sort it out and let you know when they are ready and give you a call by lunch time tomorrow. Guess what? NO phone call. A few more days pass and my emails haven't been replied to so yet again i call to speak to the original guy who apologised for not letting anyone know. Ok so instead of saying right we just got to order the tyres or this is the delivery date he asks what wheels sizes, spec and tyre size i want AGAIN. So I'm guessing he hasn't had it logged at all. As it been so long i wasn't sure on the tyre sizes no more and stupidly said i wanted a 30 profile on the front and 35 rear and ask what sort of deal do i get for all this trouble. He replied ill get back to you and let you know. Yet again a few days later he said he can upgrade me to the Yokohoma Advan sports for my trouble but by that time i wanted to adjust the tyre sizes after many threads and advice online. I wanted 235/40/18 and 275/40/18 its only the rear width Ive changed from the original quote. Yet again i wait a few more days to find out they cant do the the Yokohoma due to costs also they cant offer me my original tyre T1r for the same reason. But they can supply me the tyre sizes in a cheaper tyre Falken 452's at an extra cost of £100 on top of my finance. Ive managed to get the extra cash wanted down to £75 but i feel this still isn't good enough. The prices of the wheels have gone up by £170 since May/June as well as the tyres. I don't think i should be paying the new price am i right? Not only that but i priced up the wheels and tyres on their website to find that if i payed full price with delivery etc it works out £45 less than what they are trying to charge me. I stated this to the company and they said the prices online wrong and haven't been updated. Isn't that false advertising? You can buy the wheels on the web page. Grrr sorry for the long drawn out rant but I'm so pissed about this Thanks for reading Dan

Hi, My manifolds and turbos are ceramic coated to absorb the high temps. Do you think it will be a good idea to have the down pipes treated as well or just a waste of time? I did wrap them but by doing this it lead to fitting problems. What do you think guys?

Hi I tried fitting the N/A pump and bracket today with the lightened TT pulley only to find that the pulley doesnt line up with the crank very well when fitting the belt. Am i doing something wrong? Or is that as good as it gets when doing this mod? Thanks Dan

Since they said the tr1 is not availble ive seen plenty of places still stocking them im not sure if its the last run of the tyre or not. Im getting the wheels and tyres as a package so im stuck with them really :( Ill never make the mistake of using the company again nothing but brain ache. Ill call them tomorrow and tell them i want a 40 profile on the front and a 35 rear or 40 rear? Cheers Dan

Trust me you dont know what hassel ive had with this company! Ordering the wheels was one hell of a job but 6months later and they arrive. I ordered t1r tyres 6 months ago to go with the package but now they tell me that the t1r is discontinued and the Proxy 4s are the replacements. As i had a nightmare ordering the wheels they said they would upgrade my tyres to the yoko Advans and advised for front 235/30/18 and back 275/35/18. I said what width i wanted and they advised the profile. I knew id need a 40 profile as advised by Jaffa on here so i rang and asked to change it to a 40. This company are buy no means quick i wait for days for a reply and most of the time i have to ring them as promised phone calls never happen. The reply was to stick to the profile as this would be the profile and sizes they woulds offer to anyone and they are the professionals?? Ok so im still not happy and they come back with a 235/35/18 but they dont advise it and a 265/35/18 not a 275/35/18. But now they say that the toyo advans dont make these sizes. this has drawn out over 2weeks now as they take days to get back to me. So my ideal size that i hope to fit would be 235/40/18 and 275/35/18 is that right? I am a bit worried that a 40 profile might push the limits in the arch? Cheers Dan

Hi To go with my wheel hell im now on a tyre problem from hell. I was going for Yokohoma advan sports but now the company cant source the tyre sizes im after 235/35/18 275/35/18 Can anyone advise for a tyre that they now are good and can be supplied in the above sizes? Cheers Dan

I havent got round to fitting mine 100% yet but have noticed the lip that you screw down to the chassis under the bonnet is flat with the chassis and after trial fitting noticed it cracking where ive screwed it down...Doesnt look good. Has anyone else had the same problem??

Hi all another question. Im sure i see a thread on how to make an N/A pump fit a TT engine using the TT lightened pulley?? Am i right in thinking the TT pulley will not sit in the right location? I havve the N/A bracket im just under the impression the pulleys wont align right? Cheers Dan
