  1. FunkySi and Joely because it's 'what nissan should have made' and utterly mint. Definitely Dougals white shortie with the bonnet open Dave 'SLICKTOP's slicktop impul front end. My fave
  2. I'm sure you'd change your mind, its in your favourite colour matte black with lime wheels  It would stand as the modified example.
  3. In my opinion I think we should hunt down the best Zed's like wolves and make sure nobody doesn't miss the thread. It's a visibility problem as well as that people can't make it. I know jonnyboy doesn't go on here often and may have been up for it.
  4. This is pretty much the problem. We didn't really have much to choose from so I understand, even if there will be more pristine examples out there.
  5. If you read earlier he said his vert is not the best standard, I'm just being specific to make a point, not trying to degrade his car.
  6. I second this, while I want to tread carefully, (and please no offence intended), Ian's vert top is a bit scruffy. I don't know the condition of sudeshes car, but jonyboy's very is very clean if not unfortunate being a strosek. Just saying there wasn't a lot of public discussion to debate the best cars etc. Nice cars in the lineup anyway. joelys and funkySis are the perfect examples for the NEC, and mondo's shows light mod potential and interior craftmanship. I'm not going so in a way my opinion is irrelevant but would have been worth open discussion imo.
  7. I need to get to work finishing this breaker then!
  8. This is going to be bad but here's my go: 1 coolant temp sensor 2 cas bolts 3 balance bar gasket 4 shifter bushings 5 ? 6 ? 7 some other sensor 8 lock actuator 9 brake line retainer 10 ? 11 ? 12 coolant temp plug 13 fuel pump/interior power fuse 14 crank pulley bolt 15 ? 16 ? 17 ? 18 rear quarter interior bolt cover 19 ? 20 ? 21 wanruff key? Spelling? 22 door motor relay 23 interior trim retainer
  9. Well I mean it would be nice to have an original, but I'm not prepared to pay out silly money as I've already nearly made it :D I'm also broke lol so maybe another time.
  10. As Stephen says, it would probably not work out well from a pricing perspective, but perhaps I could bribe the school teachers into using theirs. I don't know how well it would work on such a curved surface though, may have to do one line and then rotate it etc.
  11. Last time I checked there weren't any but it's nice to know for the future. But for now I'm being cheap and I kinda enjoy fab work like this. I can't really do it, so the best I can do is acid etch it into the surface.
  12. As my car is an Impul 932s, I'm trying to get original impul parts to complete the 'set' if you like, and one of these was this gearstick as one of the options: So there was my task. So I took an aluminium rod and cut it to length Then did a big chamfer, drill a large and small hole in the end and tapped a thread into it. Then used a piece of stainless steel, thinned it down to the right size and put a thread in that. Then I briefly did the top by chamfering it but its rushed and will need redoing. Here's what it looks like: So body nearly done. I moved onto the brass bushings because it's not worth buying them Drill hole in the centre Thin down to minutely the diameter for a snug fit. (Admittedly I overshot twice) And hit it really hard with a hammer. And the smart ones of you will notice the previous owners budget attempt at a short shifter, but welding a bit on to make it longer [emoji38] Not to everyones taste but I want to make my car as the original from IMPUL with all options checked.
  13. I had the same thing with my T section being hacked up, the armrest wouldn't open. I guess the lwb and swb armrests hinge differently?
  14. There is a 'was it you?' for identifying people. This isn't really identifying and more general thing so I put it here. A mod can move it if they want :)
  15. So, driving along and look what I spot: Had to pull over and waited for the owner to have a chat. The car was a late model TT auto import and the owner, Alan, had never heard of the forum and frankly couldn't see the point lol! Anyhow, he said he might be interested in coming to see some other Zed's perhaps at the SE meet. Well wait and see. Anyway, it was nice seeing a Z in the wild and meeting an owner.
  16. Not sure but got one here, has XTD logos on the parts etc. Seems genuine
  17. :happybday:Si
  18. Lee recommended me the xtd clutch (unless you are looking at comp clutches) so I have the stage 3 one now. He said he's had 1 fail in 7 years. Make sure you get the TT one (black flywheel) and not the Na one Haven't fitted it yet so can't comment on how it feels, but its a 6pck so probably trash around town. Baz has a lightweight one but it needs skimming
  19. Good to hear Mike, do you have any pics of the work :)

  21. The annoying thing is that he just got a respray. Is it hard to transplant just the glass?
  22. Me + 1 Might be worth sending a PM to everybody closer to the time as not everyone checks the forum regularly.
  23. How many per table? Can we seat up to 20-25? We have 13 saying they can go, and some will bring their SO, so just making sure ;)
  24. Dan mate, they may be bad now but they could have been perfectly fine when on his car. Bumps in transit or got internal contamination after being used are all possibilities.
  25. Have you still got the image of this? I would like to visualise how it works.
