  1. Twist about 120° and they came off for me. No use trying to pull them back
  2. I think its a passenger door! EDIT: Yay!
  3. The diameter of the spline on the rack is 17-18mm I just checked if that helps? I don't fancy going outside to check the column one at this time though!
  4. US models had electronically dampened suspension. So you could change the stiffness from touring to sport
  5. Have we got a list somewhere of the total people interested?
  6. Yep mines still in the cold on jackstands and ramps :crying:

  8. I think z centre sells rear arch repair panels. Also some part of the sills if I'm not mistaken.
  9. Not a priority but still nice to look at :)
  10. I was joking about actually doing it, but doesnt look atrocious if im honest. IMHO
  11. Alex  You only met him last month :P Ashley is the name you were looking for
  12. Think what you will. Im not crazy enough to make it, looks slightly off but its not as bad as some of the fibreglass atrocities.
  13. And this is from 150hp odd less than you're running :) 335 on rear
  14. Thought I recognised the door and roof line a bit, but you guys are right it's an s15.
  15. Maybe I'll have to make one then to prove you all wrong :shifty:
  16. I know this is going to pain some people's eyes but I couldn't help think about smoothing the tailgate onto the body and making a small trunk opening. Does anyone share my curiosity or am I alone with this thought? Certainly different. I'll give it a Photoshop when I get home.
  17. This is thorough but sometimes a bit hard to follow There are quite a few quirks when doing it so don't hesitate to shoot me a message as its fresh in my mind. Some people on here have done it without removing the dash, it wasn't a problem removing it for me and made it 10x easier, but your choice.
  18. Mark Kent might have one, Baz has everything apart from the gearbox i think, and i think 300zx aly had a conversion though i cant remember and may have changed since I was last looking. I wouldn't say incredibly difficult but some parts are easiest if done by somebody who knows what they're doing. The wiring for one is confusing for me. Definitely possible, especially as you have access to ramp, but don't expect you to be able to finish it on one Saturday. Lee Dent can do the conversion in Shrewsbury who is quite close to you? From previous looking, the conversion parts are £600, Not entirely sure but labour would be £600-900 (someone correct me?)
  19. No one is going to spend possibly the price of their car on a recon box, or worse a new one! Its just a gamble really. I got my box cheap, so it was really just the hassle for me.
  20. Happy returns Pete
  21. I say that because my started burning fluid, grinding and smoking out of the dipstick because it overheated, and was gone completely. You gotta hope for the best though... There is a drain port (not very early boxes) but you would lose a lot of fluid opening that. Also if the fluid that comes out is brown, that's bad news. I knew your pain mate, my auto failed the trip after I swapped it, so now the cars got a manual in it, I had enough.
  22. The whole thing from dry takes about 8.5 litres, but when you swap it the boxes are never really empty, the torque converter still holds lots of fluid so oy only really need 5-6.5 in most cases. You fill it until the line is right on the dipstick. From the sound of it, the gearbox was burning the fluid and definitely sounds the like gearbox if hooked unfortunately, although not necessarily because you overfilled it. Dexron 3, buy about 7 liters, but only put in what the gearbox can take. When you buy a box usually they just take them off the car and don't drain them thoroughly, even if you do drain it, there will still be a large amount of fluid in it. I've had my torque converter off and it took about 2 days to fully drain. It's just not viable, just fill the box to the correct level (and make sure to shift to make sure it flows around the gearbox and then refill) There might be some more scientific answers but in any case, I hope for the best as I've had too much pain with autos breaking, so I ditched then in the end.
  23. Oh good point didn't notice that. Bucharest :)
  24. Hi James and welcome. Looks like a UK spec, have you any more pictures?
