  1. http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/boostJets/boostJets.html look here mate
  2. If you say its fast mate i will take your word for it as my experience of these is limited. My interest was raised when the boost was higher than i expected it to be...im still plumping for a dodgy gauge ive bought but will find out when i pop up to Ztech
  3. I have the zcentre convertor fitted and have been thinking of a work round to the fear that the changed signal affects speed sensitive items ( not sure it does) when you wire up the converter you take the speed signal and put it into the converter and then out into the clocks and from there to the ecu out of the clocks. a work round would be to also take the signal feed not only to the clocks via the converter but splice the ecu speed signal feed from the clocks directly into the speed signal before it goes into the converter. Unsure if this will work but might try it
  4. Or get the converter from the Z centre , fit it properly and get some nice indiglo dials .
  5. the standard gauge reads just a smidgeon under 7 on WOT. But the new gauge is showing a difference in readings as soon as it starts , it even dissagrees on the negative side as well,Im gonna go away and do a thorough look at the boost pipes next week and the ecu....then give up and let ryan look at it...hehe
  6. Think I will take a look at it next weekend. I could be imagining things and the new boost gauge might be wrong as well. It was that I couldnt find any boost jets and couldnt explain why it was hitting 12psi, its not hitting 12psi like a manual boost controller would either as it seems to be regulated ( not all or nothing as it builds nicely )
  7. what should |I be looking for on the ecu if it isnt standard mate?

Watching F1 and man i need some of that sunshine
  9. Havnt been in a standard z though gotta agree with jase on the performance of the car...might get more info on it when i go to ztechs check up day. Mind you now i dont have to worry about things I will start saving for a full forged bottom end.
  10. Hey jase If there aint any jets in her did the new turbs have stronger wastegate springs fitted as the ecu should be controlling boost to 9psi? irrespective of there being new turbos on it. I know what you are saying though about it being quick :-))
  11. HeHe I want to let ryan take a gander at it first If its running a true 12psi the injector timings are good and the ignition timing is good as well, im wondering if its chipped and I dont know it?
  12. oops...might want to reword that...nah
  13. thx will go feel my pipes tommorow
  14. wow bradley your'e typing and wording is better than your'e uncles' It seems that you are the intelligent one in the family :)
  15. Just fitted my autogauge stealth 2 boost gauge and went out to see how much more I could wring out of her as the timing was genourous and so was the injector timing on WOT. Turns out either my new gauge is crap or the boost has been raised somehow as the gauge is showing it boosting at 12psi at WOT?? I couldnt see any boost jets when I took a peek and couldnt see any bleed valves. Any Ideas??
  16. Never ever underestimate your wife
  17. Look to the future mate. If the ancillarys are good then go for a upgraded rebuild( forged bottom end ) It would be a waste to go for a rebuild and not prepare for future gains and put a degree of safety into it. Just my two peneth
  18. Thx Thought of that but was worried about vibration and such
  19. How do you solder two seperate wires together. Can you crimp and run solder into the connector?
  20. This is taken from the faq section done by andyduff Im crap and cant get it to link Basic removal procedure as follows: Disconnect and remove the battery Remove the inner and outer boost pipes on both sides Remove Idle air feed tube Remove the turbo outlet hoses - the outer black pipes coming from the tubs Remove the balance bar Disconnect all electrical connections (6 coilpacks, 6 injectors, fuel temp sender, idle valve, cold start valve and fast idle valve - last three on passenger side at back) Remove 6 coilpacks Undo 8 bolts holding the plenum down Look to each side of the plenum, about half way back, there are 2 12mm bolts on each side - remove these. Look under passenger TB, disconnect 2 rubber hoses (one going down to turbo coolant feed, the other goes to the front of the car) Follow the pipework from the coolant hose and there will probably be a bracket to hold the pipe work - remove the 10mm bolt holding the pipes together. You should now be able to lift the plenum slightly. Lift it slightly, then undo the egr feed tubes on either side - 2x10mm bolts on underside. Now work your way round under the plenum, and find any coolant hoses still holding it on - there will be one feeding the drivers side turbo and one at the rear drivers side from memory PCV hoses should already have come off but remove if not. That should be it. You should now be able to lift the upper intake straight off. Its not massively easy but just work your way round patiently and you'll do it
  21. I have fitted my informeter and have a few questions ...more like looking for advice. Ignition advance at WOT is 21/22 degrees ( 15 at idle ) Injecter timing at WOT is 17ms for both banks. For me to up the boost the Ignition advance is good but where can I push it to safely without DET? ( I mean if I up the boost at what degrees would it show if it was detting, have heard that you watch this to see if it retards the timing when it dets then back off on boost ) What injecter timing should I not be going above?
  22. Thoughts are withh ya Take care
  23. I saw that the other day and took a look around mate. Nice
  24. there are a few stupid rovers around now a couple of 620ti's kicking out almost 500bhp and a bubble kicking out over 650
