  3. I told him straight I'm just out of hospital, should not be driving and coming from miles away. He said it's fine, running well, clean apart from some light paint work needed and the lump was sweet and reliable. Utter sh**te, my bro who was with me wanted to rare up, they stitched me right up. Plugs, the bearings were screaming when I looked at it, orrible car.
  4. Gary, I drove from Bedford to Peterlee to buy this car, before I brought Purple Haze last year. This car is a piece of crap, misfiring and knocking away, the only good thing about it was the quarter panel glass :-) The garage owner was a slimy lying sack of s**t as well.
  5. I believe these are as rare as rocking horse s**t to find? Thought i would ask if anyone knows where best to try and hunt them down, would love a pair of these but aint holding my breath....

  8. I'm 53 mate, GazWoz car I brought was perfect, original, clean, reliable and good value, this white one is really for the young uns :-)
  9. Yes Rich, spot on mate, that's what I wanted, as close to stock looks but felt the original cans lacked the burble I like so much. Lee knew my preference for stock and proposed the Mongoose cat backs as a compromise between performance pipes and original. I kept the original cans in case I wish to change back at any time, however I'm enjoying the Buzz from the back end already:-)
  10. Popped up to LA Autos today. Lee sorted out a nice pair of Mongoose cat backs for me. As usual Lee went out of his way doing some little jobs including swapping over my rear panel sp Phutumsh can work his magic next. The original back boxes were mint. Keeping them for now :-) Sounds great :thumbup1:

  21. " Help promote the marque and raise awareness of the Z32 to a wider audience" Precisely, my 15 & 20 year old sons and my missus all think my Zed is, well, to put it frankly, OK. When I showed them the photos of Dan's car, they were all drooling and asked me when was I going to get my car done like that ! I went down the pub. I told my mate this, he's my age, old. He said the complete opposite, how it's great to see OEM classic cars still kicking and breathing as original as can be. So, on that basis, let's compromise, it's a classic show, a chance to let Joe Public know why we ALL love the Zed, let's predominantly feature the top end OEM classic cars, BUT....let's show Everyone Who Visits, what can be done today, to celebrate the classic car, with a beautiful example of the marque that's had tasteful AND expert mods lovingly applied to bring it back to life. Compromise. We are a club, let's club together.
  22. Compromise. Show exemplary examples of the classic marque and exceptionally beautiful versions of what the Z32 can evolve from and into, like Dan's. The club voted it COTY.
  23. "Illuminated kick plates were a factory optional extra but are quite rare as an original part. Aftermarket versions have been reproduced though. ...and mine...shortly! I think it's my favourite 'stock' interior. The suede ones are lovely too, but I actually really like the velour seats. They're warm, comfy, grippy and don't creak! " Gents, are my kick plates Altia or aftermarket? I think the feel of the interior is suede, is this the case, hope you can tell from these photos?
  24. Great to see this post, I was thinking am I the only club member who wants my car as original as possible..... I will always do what's best to ensure my car is technically and aesthetically at its original best, but, genuinely don't want to do anymore than enjoy the car as is, for me, its plenty powerful enough, got its own identity, looks great and the lights and body styling are functional and attractive. Don't get me wrong, I totally get the mods and upgrades owners carry out and the desire to have ones car as individual/powerful as possible, but I'm just happy to own and drive my motor as she is. Probably cos i'm an old fart with clean fingernails and short pockets has something to do with it as well. I expect as I venture into the wonderful world of Zeds I may well change my mind and get blinging and upgrading like a good un, but for now, I'm happy with Purple Haze as she is.
