  1. Ha ha, My missus was driving the daily next to me and my son took the photo, I was smiling like this all the way up, beautiful day, car was running sweet and I'm off to see the wizard of zed, what's not to smile at :-)
  2. Driving up to Dentys on Saturday:-)
  3. Thanks All, Paul, Ali, great advice and the photos giving me a good example. I'm going to have a think, I already have chrome water pipes and would like to make the bay look cooler ( if that's possible) but don't wanna go overboard. I guess if go for the plenum, I've gotta go a lot further to make it all fit in. So, on that note, I'm gonna mull it over :-) will keep you posted, and thanks again everyone.
  4. Drove to Lee's yesterday to drop Purple Haze off for cavity wax, Speedo conversion/delimiter, final tweak to dash lights and general health check. As usual, mods were offered, one being a candy purple powder coated plenum and rocker covers, should I? Anyone have a link or photos of powder coated plenum in situ, so I can see how this looks, I'm mightily tempted but wanna see what it would look like first :-) it kinda blows the OEM theme outta the window thougth.
  5. Saw this advert on FB and made me laugh, guess you have to be a certain age mind you. http://fayar.craigslist.org/cto/5446478628.html
  6. I looked out the window and smiled at my Zed today. That was nice. OEM v MODS, they should make a film, you know, like quadrophinia, mods v rockers, or Warriors v Baseball Furies, loadsa good banter being the tool of choice :-) I can see it now, Si in the corner, moodily swinging a OEM steering wheel above his head with Paul chucking a length of LED light rope in a lasso stylee menacingly around. The debate continues....
  7. Thanks man, I was going to add the 99 spec when Phutumsch fitted the rear EL panel, they did look good. But, I'm trying to keep her original, I just like the old school look I guess :-)
  8. Nipped out for a quick spin round my locale, lovley day for it :-)
  9. Great band man, I did 3 tours with the Black Crowes, had many a mad one with Chris :-)
  10. 300zx Music Vid ....Just found this on u tube,
  11. Love the 'stang in this...great toon 2 ;-)
  12. I live in Bedford = Bed. I am the proud owner of a Zed 32 = Zee I have a pair and a deep voice = Man BedZee Man :-)
  13. It's a Young Ones thing, us Old Ones get it Andy :-)
  14. I thought the same Si. And quite frankly, the comments/post made by this particular club member in regard to the incredible hard work Phutumsch did and the fact Andy managed to get the original OEM EL panel back to how I wanted it, seems to be completely ignored. Reminds me of an old saying " if you have nothing positive to say, best to say nothing at all". I always thought this forum was for genuine help and advice requests and to applaud and encourage the work we do on our individual cars, not for opinionated, negative and irrelevant comments for the sake of hearings ones own voice....still, we shall see ;-)
  15. And then some Mr Phutumsch....the decals were the finishing touch to a great day mate :-) Thanks again Andy
  16. I have to say .....its the original factory green colour and I have to say metallic midnight purple just happened to be the original colour of my car. I have to say that's really weird eh, fancy that! Like far out man, far out....thought I'd throw in the red dash bulbs as well, just to really crank the weird colour scheme scale up to 11 dude....
  17. Prior to fitting the EL Panel...
  18. Not so much today as a very cold and blustery day yesterday at the home of Phutumsch, many , many Thanks Andy and what a great result! Andy sorted out my Altia EL Panel and got it back to its original colour scheme and working a treat, also sorted out my fogs and reverse lights... they now match my Altia sills/kick plates ;-) and, there's more.... Andy also changed out all the bulbs in both pods and the dash and its all glowing a lovely deep red now, the needles look great.... Andy used a mixture of bulbs and LED versions, I will leave the various colours and bulb descriptions to the master, for I am not worthy of such advanced knowledge ;-) Suffice to say I am chuffed to bits with the results...
  19. Nice one Paul, looking good mate :-) Will post up the work phutumsch did on purple haze yesterday, when I finish work tonight :-)
  20. Ha ha, I know what you mean, never enough time dude, either getting work done on the Zed ready for the summer or keeping the tribe happy :-) After this weekend tings should settle down a bit. Thinking of Modfest, hope we can drive down together on the 20th?
  21. I am going to Andy's tomorrow for some work on my rear panel/dash/pods and couple of other bits, I shall enquire if this can be done by the wizard of lights :-)
  22. Yep, would love to tour Ireland in my Zed with a few others. Ritchie mentioned doing something similar on another thread, really should try and get something organised if poss.
  23. Tried all the normal companies and quotes were crazy. Went with Footman James, 98 TT, alloys and ICE declared, 2000 miles limit, I'm 53, 6 points and got it for 178 fully comp, no excess.
  24. Learning something new everyday on here, enjoying the banter as well, that top 20 was a hoot :-)
  25. Ha ha, that's why I liked them back then, mind you it was 25+ years ago Si ;-)
