I must've been at the bar again when you took that photo at the meal craig :biggrin: It was a great day with a nice spread of differently styled Z's from the oem to the highly modded, gave a great show of the diversity among the owners. I believe I was the one bringing the rain as every time I got a cloth and the polish out if the boot in an attempt to clean up my z, the rain started until I put it away again.. Got there in the end though haha.. Redwine, I'm not sure if I spoke to you or not, but if I did, I am still none the wiser to what you look like which is a shame as I'd like to have put a face to the name.. Nice to meet and see some new faces in the club aswell. There were some great looking cars there and good to see the progress being made on the cars in the club, great work guys.

So the trophy is in place next to last year's one in the display cabinet.. Looks cool now, like a snore Zz :biggrin: After fighting through the traffic delays on the M1 coming home from the AGM, I returned home to find a little parcel had arrived, so after a well needed pint of Stella, a chat with the wife and the calming of my boxer who was ever excited at dad coming home lol, I had a little tinker with the Z again.. The parcel contained a nice billet alloy master cylinder brace. Now in place under the bonnet.. Another job ticked off the list. Glad to say the list is getting shorter now! Targa hook to fit as soon as time is available. Been a good year so far for progress on the Z.. Clutch, paintwork and some interior tidying and I think my Z will be finally finished..

Well deserved si, especially as you now have the clips for your kidney cover in the boot lol.. Very happy to have received runner up for beat engine bay this year and congratulations to rolandas for picking up the winner again a well deserved winner.. Sorry I didn't speak to you rolandas, I wasn't actually aware it was your car or that you were there! Well done to Andrew G too for your awards and was really pleased to see James Paul picking up the best modified car as I know it's been a long road with many ups and downs, so again well done and well deserved James! Great turn out again this year, had a great time and thanks to the committee for the organising and hard work you do behind the scenes.. Great to see you all and looking forward to the next tribal gathering..

Don't get too excited yet si, they'll be there for a while yet.. Gotta fund the paint yet but hoping the sale of the bike I'm refurbing will bring the cash in sooner rather than later. I reckon I'll get around £1500 for the bike so, that'll be a nice big chunk of it.. Fingers crossed she'll be painted and de nostrilled by March next year..

Jai, that still upsets me ya know.. Remember seeing you polishing her up at jae and getting ready for the show and shine.. Tragic loss mate, she was probably my favourite Z in the club if I'm honest. Reading your post about the incident really made me sad.. Relieved no one was hurt but sad cos I know how much you put in to that car

Just thinking about your cars name, I don't think it's the right one as Christine used to rebuild herself.. Yours I think is more a princess (no similarities to the old Austin of course) but more because it gets pampered so much lol.. I'm actually looking for a new house at the moment, hopefully I'll find something with the space for a decent workshop so I can finally have a space to really pick my car apart and start to remove the years off the old girl.. Although I have to say it myself, for a car that's being used daily in all weathers, she is pretty clean.. One winter can change that though as we all know well.. Anyway, looking forward to seeing Christine sometime soon and dribbling over the shiny engine bay..

How very dare you! :biggrin: Those nostrils are the cars best feature.. I mean would you ask Barry manilow to cut off his nose? Lmao.. In all seriousness, when the car is resprayed, the nostrils wont be going back on. As much as I like them in some respects, I always had an issue with how they were just plonked on and have the join showing all round. Would've decided to keep them if they had been properly blended in with the bonnet but we all know that leads to paint problems in the future, like cracks and alike, so the nostrils will be gone.. Although don't sigh with relief just yet, something else may be in the pipeline, you know I like to be different lol.. Coming to the same conclusion as you guys about the colour aswell, cherry Pearl factory colour AH3 is probably going to be the way I go.. I'm sure it'll look much better without the 27 years of use it's had on this paint job..

Been having a word with my painter today and as we were discussing the choice of colour, I thought I'd ask you guys what you think.. I have been thinking of a slight colour change, or I should say finish change. Keeping the cherry colour but adding some more lustre to it with more metallic flake and a more candy effect lacquer to add to the lustre in the sunlight as I think it looks quite flat and dark almost maroon in the usual UK climate.. The painter thinks i should keep the colour as the factory colour and says it'll look fresher with new paint anyway.. It's a tough decision.. What's your opinions?

Nope, genuine Nissan stock injectors 370cc. The car runs fine on the originals but they are old and failing slowly. I decided to go for genuine jecs Nissan ones and save the adaptors and remap for now.. Money's tight at the minute mate so gone for the easiest solution for now.

A few more goodies on the way.. I bought a brake master cylinder brace, some 5W bulb fittings for the rear side reflectors to be illuminated and a brand new set of genuine stock injectors are winging their way from down under right now.. Still going to try get the targa hook swapped over for the shiny new one before the weekend but time is very short.. Polish and wax to do aswell.. I'm going to need premiere inns good night sleep promise to hold up to its name on Saturday that's for sure..

This is looking to be a fantastic day guys.. Great to see do many owners getting there this year! It's going to be a really great day.. Hoping the weather is kind, but regardless im really looking forward to seeing you all and your cars and also meeting some of the newer members too.. Still trying to put the paint right on the Z and hoping the clutch holds out, so holding off the boost for the time being... I'm not sure what time I'll arrive at the hotel, depends if I go to Mr dents in the morning, but I certainly won't be showing up just before dinner like last year! Valuable beer drinking time lost! Sorry to hear that Ian.. The thieving b****ds have had several things from my garden.. Enough to make me spend a small fortune on home security cameras now. I've chased them off before, caught them taking my neighbours kids bikes from out of their front garden and they had only got them that day for their birthdays.. Very irritating and also very annoying when the police don't seem to be able to do much.. I've found around my way its mainly Romanians and alike that are driving round in vans and stealing stuff more now rather than the classic gypsies of the past.. Whoever it is regardless, it's illegal and extremely bloody annoying when you can't leave things in your own property without fear if it going missing.. Hope you manage to get them back Ian..

I've got two original flares from Z's.. Been very tempted to light one just to see what happens but decided to keep them as they are after all getting quite uncommon nowdays in original form.. Unfortunately the bracket that holds it in my passenger footwell has been broken and I doubt I'll find an unbroken one nowdays.. Anyway, probably be my last post until next month as my subscription expires in a few days and Im basically skint lol. Got some big bills to sort out so I'll be back in a month.. See you all at the AGM and hotel if you're going.. Congrats to all the mot passers this week aswell.. Nice to know we're in good shape! I'm sure they have a price tag to match the flow rate right? I did see a set of injectors on Z1 not that long ago that were on sale, maybe these are the 615 size. $700 price tag plus shipping and taxes.. Not the kind of cash I have spare of late, but I guess I'll be looking around that figure in the end. Remap required I would presume aswell? The chip that Lee installed I doubt will be compatible with the injectors without remapping.. Probably just aswell though as I need the EBC programmed aswell as it's never been done since it was installed..

So does that mean the nismo 555 are pintle injectors? I'm more leaning towards pintleless ones as I'm kinda tired of the unreliability of the pintle style ones!

Well I'm hoping to go through Thursday to Sunday but that will be dependant on the weather I think.. Lol. I meant to ask, have we got an events calendar? Ive never been able to find a page on the forum that clearly shows all upcoming events? I don't know if it is just me, but I look through the main forum page and I never seem to find a pagetgat shows the events planned for the club? Do we actually have an events page? If not, is there a way to sort one out so that all events are listed on the one place and easy to locate? I only ever seem to find out about events when someone asks me if I'm going, so im aware this may just be an issue for me, I may not be looking in the right place but I think it would improve attendance if people can actually see the upcoming events on a calendar so they can plan the time to come to them. If I'm missing a page, can someone please point me towards it, as I need to be able to plan things and a simple calendar would be very helpful..
