Where did you get these Si? (and how much)...I have been trying for some time to track them down...every site in the US that says they have them.... can't fulfil the order once you try to buy!

I have a contact who is on personal terms with most of the UK Nissan Dealerships. I have been talking to him about potential sponsorship for 2019 Z celebration events. While my friend doesn't have 'an in' with Nissan UK...he thinks there could be some support from the larger Nissan dealerships...but would like some more information regarding the type of events proposed. I advised that we were at the early stages of planning and would get back to him....so let's get continue to get more ideas in and perhaps we should be liaising with the committees of the other Z clubs to present a 'gala' Z/ZX marque celebration in the summer of 2019? Rockingham sounds like an ideal venue...and they have nothing booked in July 2019 according to their website!

The AGM was again a great day…. in blistering sunshine… with a fantastic selection of cars on show. Many thanks to the committee for their efforts in staging this event (and others)...As someone who organises group activities I appreciate the amount of coordination and effort that these sort of events demand. There are few 300ZX events throughout the year where prizes are awarded (well done Steve et al for this years) to attending members and their cars based on votes cast throughout the day….I think the variety of awards is great and offers members with all genres and styles of 300ZX to participate and have their ‘pride and joy’ appreciated by the attending knowledgeable 300ZX community. After going to all the effort to produce the prizes and organise the voting perhaps we could ‘promote’ this side of the day a little more… to the rest of the club membership who were not able to attend the event itself? On Sunday we had awards presented for: (Apologies if I have forgotten any!) • Best SWB • Best LWB • Best OEM/OEM+ • Best Interior • Best Engine Bay • Best Audio Installation • Best Modified • Best Motorsport • Most Desirable Car • Best in Show I would like to make a suggestion. After the event…an awards post within the event’s thread…listing the categories and the winners. An 'official photographer’ could take a picture of the member receiving their prize from the committee….along with a picture of the winning car/interior/engine bay. I think this would be of interest to the entire club membership. It would provide information on the awards….the winning members (enabling us all to actually put a face and ‘real’ name to a forum name)….and to celebrate the many varied representations of the 300ZX marque …spot lighting the cars that attracted the most votes in a specific category….and perhaps encouraging some who may not think that their car was up to the same standard as others in the club (or too modified) …to attend and take part? This is all in my humble opinion….of course!

I know where you are coming from Si...but...unless you are going to buy something really special/exotic....then you'll just be another bloke in another (similar looking) sports car...do you even notice an AM DBx on the road?...they're cool... but don't get people asking 'what was that?' as they go past. If a man of your....not inconsiderable means ...needs to 'scratch an itch' then do it by all means....but lay up the old girl in storage while you get it out of your system :whistling:

The stock exhaust has larger diameter chrome finishers...(outrageously expensive from Nissan!)....I have a used set (that would need some attention) if anyone was looking for them

Last weekend involved some 'enthusiastic' driving (150+ miles) across the stunning Lake District countryside in beautiful weather....this weekend.... another outing...but at a more leisurely pace.... Took part in the London to Brighton Classic Car run yesterday....fantastic weather...interesting route through the Kent and East Sussex countryside with a stop at Penshurst Place.....and some fantastic cars on display. As far as I could see (500+ cars) I was in the only 300ZX...but there were two 240z taking part I was interviewed at the finish line where the commentator stated he had been looking forward to seeing my car as it was "The first Japanese Super Car" My car performed impeccably (again) even when confronted with dozens of cyclists taking part in a race up Ditchling Beacon....which meant slipping first gear up narrow roads behind the struggling cyclists!....many older cars struggled with fuel starvation (such a steep incline) and burned out clutches! As well as the Classic Car run (>25 years old) there was a Sports and Kit car run taking a different route that interchanged with the main route...so pretty much anyone could have taken part. I have a very red face and arms (roof off going there)...roof on and A/C cranked up on the way home....great day all round.

Joel...you seem to have covered everything that could be the cause...so perhaps revisiting some of them may throw some new light on the situation?....like removing the disc and ensuring the contact points on disc and hub are perfectly clean....and perhaps try another set of brake pads...you could have been unlucky enough to have got a duff set....I have had that myself...with brembo pads!

Thanks guys for attending...apologies I didn't spend too much time with you...but was a little busy making sure all the events were running smoothly....next year I will try to organise a 'Best in Show' award for the 'People's Favourite'....there were some seriously nice cars there from the other club...E Type....TR4A....Triumph Stag....1960 Rolls Royce...Ford Consul (1950s/60s)...and many more. Thank you all again....it was a great day (the weather helped!) and we raised approximately £2.5k for a local small ....totally donation funded... charity.

Replaced the headlamp bulbs with OSRAM H3 55w Night Breaker Unlimited units Allegedly +110% brighter & providing +35m distance visibility.....we shall see.... (or Not!)

Joel...If you think it is disc related...instead of splashing £500 on a new set...could you not try a cheap front pair first to try to prove the theory? I'm not sure if you can get 'cheap' rotors for your setup..but if you can...while being a pain...swapping them over to test isn't too big a job....

Done it !.....was stuck in there...can't have been out for years!
