  1. Art...The release mechanism is still there on the modified auto lever
  2. February is good for me ....
  3. Does anyone have a leather clad shifter lying around?
  4. I have a 1990 JDM TT Auto....I understand that many on this forum don't like the Auto and some even 'look down' on it...which is fine....But I actively sort out an Auto version when I decided to buy the only Z car I hadn't owned.... as that's what I usually drive...(However if I were looking to purchase another Z32....based on perception, resale values and most importantly how many miles I actually do in my Zed....I would probably look for a manual ) Anyway...I have an Auto.... and I like the car and can't see me getting rid of it anytime soon...but the look of the Auto shifter has always offended me!....it's 'tall' proportions look decidedly old fashioned compared to today's auto offerings (see Richard's new daily driver pictures!)...so I decided to investigate if I could bring the look of the Z32 Auto shifter a little more up to date (unfortunately I can't do anything about the unsophisticated characteristics of the rudimentary 4 speed performance). A special mention should go to Paul (NemisisZX) at this point....as it was he who provided me with an auto shift mechanism from his breaker for my 'proof of concept'....before I started chopping my 'actual' mechanism about! So I set about shortening the gear stick by 45mm.....not as straight forward as taking a hacksaw to it...but not too difficult... if a little fiddly...with a couple of 'gotchas' along the way. This is the before and after of the PoC And these are the before and after in my car! I guess it won't be to everybody's taste...but I'm pretty happy with the result :thumbup1:
  5. Si...From personal experience.... and quite obviously....renting premises has to increase the amount you have to earn each month quite considerably! You suggest that you productivity may well go up with less distractions....but there will still only be one of you...and you can only do so much.....if getting premises meant that you could employ others to multiply your output then the maths my stack up....only you know what you are earning now and what the impact of renting would be on your ability to pay yourself.....Just my opinion...of course
  6. 3rd and 4th December just became unavailable for me....
  7. I can make any of those except November 26th
  8. Paul...I still have the set of coil packs I bought from you....if you wanted them back?

Sorry Ben....I am away that weekend
  14. Has anyone got an Autobox gear shifter assembly knocking around (perhaps after a conversion)... that they want to get rid of for the price of postage...or a maybe a cool beer/soft drink at Beaulieu? :thumbup1:
  15. As you well know .....:innocent:
  16. No Andy....they're my original 90 spec lights YOU converted for me!!!
  17. Went for a drive to Pyrford yesterday for an Anniversary lunch with the Mrs....it was also the inaugural trip for the Z after 12 months or so of a 'gradual' OEM+ renovation....she performed perfectly (the Z that is!)....and it was great to get the Z out for a drive in the sunshine. From the sorry looking 1990 TT delivered on a low loader (due to a shot gearbox) back in May 2015....I think she has come a long way!
