Targa Opening Rubber Seal
I'm after a passenger side rubber seal that fits to the body on the A pillar and around the Targa opening...for a LWB I know you can get them from Z Centre....but don't want to pay £200+ for a new one as I'm not entirely sure that this is the passenger side leak culprit. I have cleaned and treated the rubber.... to no avail....and ensured the drain holes are clear.....if possible I would like to get the rubber from a previously leak free car that is being broken Gary

do you need a trailer licence to use a car trailer ?
Have you tried this website? http://www.anyvan.com/ there is a 'Cars and Vehicle' section where you post your requirements and people bid for the job...the initial price is often quite high...but tends to come right down over time. I used them to collect my Z from Gateshead and deliver to SE London

UK Clocks Installed
Thanks Groover.......why does it bing/chime as you pull up to a stop?....it didn't do that with the JDM clocks installed! Also...is it an option to swap the speedo mechanism from the JDM clock set (utilising the UK dial fascia)....or does that negate the benefits of fitting the UK spec clocks?

UK Clocks Installed
I just finished installing a set of UK Clocks into my 1990 JDM TT Auto. This seems to have rectified an issue that I had had with the auto box shift pattern...which now seems much smoother and to change up and down at the correct revs :cool3:. All of the warning lights and gauges are working with the exception of the speedo. I'm assuming it must be a fault with the speedo unit as it was working previously with the JDM clock set...so unlikely to be anything outside of the instrument cluster.....is there anything I can check/test on the cluster itself? Also....when driving...as you pull up to a stop...just before you stop there is a chime or ping :confused1:...any ideas? And finally the instrument cluster light is dim...I'm guessing that could be the reostat on the right hand pod...but I don't recall it being dim with the JDM clocks...

Custom SS ExhAUST
Custom made exhaust removed from my LWB TT Auto It has no make on it anywhere so I am assuming it is a custom build(?) I bought the car in May this year and have replaced it with an OEM exhaust as I found it a bit loud on longer journeys....I believe it has only done about a thousand miles. Condition appears to be pretty good and I guess it would polish up ok. The outlets are 90mm. Happy to sell or swap for a set of good UK clocks....collection from south east London (15 minutes from the Dartford Crossing)

Simply Japanese.
I am going to try to make this event (a few last minute issuettes to resolve?!) ...but I wouldn't be able to get there early enough for the convoy....would I be able to buy a ticket last minute...or on the day...and still park with the rest of the 300zxs?

How do I disable it....and the chimes?

i know another speedo q?
....also the guy I bought the car from told me that it had had a replacement converter fitted not too long ago....but I don't know what I am looking for. I wanted a set of UK clocks as a straight replacement to overcome the 'bouncing' needle and other associated issues....I'm thinking... is it worth putting the silver Zed World clocks in as I won't be changing anything really....will I?!

i know another speedo q?
Thanks for the quick replies...so should I remove the two items in white boxes in the first picture?...and if so how?

i know another speedo q?
I can hear the groans already...but I have another speedo question! I have a 1990 JDM TT with original clocks and a KPH to MPH converter....I want to change them with a UK spec set.....so far...so good. I recently purchased (from ebay) what I thought was a set of series 1 UK spec ZED World silver clocks....I have removed the original clocks and want advice on where the converter is so that I can remove it....see picture below: Are the two items in white squares supposed to be there...or are they to do with the converter? (excuse my ignorance here!) Also...I am confused by the following....the original speedo does NOT have any additional wiring on the back....but the new ZedWorld speedo (which I thought was a UK set) does appear to have additional wiring that I guess is a converter! (Again please excuse my ignorance here) Information/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Gary

Speedo Replacement
I have a JDM Fairlady Twin Turbo and will be swapping the original speedo etc. for a UK spec unit. My car has only done 62k and most of the UK spec clocks I have seen have many more miles on the odometer....my question is...is it possible to...(and if so how) adjust the odometer on the clock set to reflect the true mileage of the car? Gary

UK Speedo Clocks for 1990 TT Fairlady
Hi All...Looking to replace my original JDM spec speedo clocks with a UK spec unit ....if anyone has got a spare set for sale? Am I right in assuming that it is a straight swap...and I can lose the converter?.....also is it possible to reset the odometer to reflect my correct mileage? Many thanks Gary

1990 TT Auto Box
Looking for a TT auto box and TC to try to repair my shot one!....Unable to perform the diagnostics procedure I found in an earlier thread as the shifter won't go into 2...so going to have to take the full replacement option! If anyone has a TT auto box out there that they know the history of...(the lower miles the better)...please let me know. I appreciate that many will advise me to convert to a manual...but I want to keep it as an auto :-) Thanks

Auto Gearbox problems
I recently became the owner of a JDM 1990 TT auto that has a gearbox problem...(no reverse and horrible "grunching" noises in drive) I had assumed that it was shot and needed replacing/...but then came across this post. I was about to follow the diagnostic routine until I read the instructions to put the lever in "2" and then into "1".....as well as the above issues is will not go into "2" as well....so should I return to my original assumption that the whole unit needs replacing! If that is the case...would a UK spec TT auto box fit a JDM TT ? Thanks

Twin Turbo Auto
Hi all...I am newly registered and looking for a project car for weekend driving. From 1980 - 1992 was a member of the Z club and I have owned many of the Z car variants...from a 240z through 206z and 280zxs to a 300zx (z31 facelift) before having to move on to more family orientated models....the one Z I always wanted ...but couldn't afford at the time...was the z32 Twin Turbo....so now much older and with spare time to work on a project car I am looking for a 300zx twin turbo auto (I know the purist among you will raise an eyebrow at that :-) ) I would prefer a UK variant...but I don't want to spend too much (up to about £2k) so will look at whatever is available....I would like a car without any mods..as unmolested as possible...that has seen better days cosmetically...but is sound mechanically....so if anyone knows of anything available I would appreciate the information. I have ben monitoring eBay, Autotrader and generally online...but there seems to be a dearth of unmolested cars... Many thanks ....Gary
