Blitz SBCi Color
Team, Just got racelogic traction control  and the the new blitz boost controller thing fitted and really really pleased with them both  The SBCi is cool the way it consolidates all the info into one small unit avoidin the "i'm flying a tornado dial-fest look at the number of dials i got!" so peeps............. On the SBCi box it lists many monitoring functions beyond the basic boost, revs etc. It lists an optional cable for further sensors etc. So my question a) Anyone Else got one fitted? and b) Have you got your additional sensors connected? and c) Anyone sell the additional harness I need? Fitted hids lost 1 main beam..?
Wow at least I know its not only my car going nuts. Seriously I think I have spent over £400 on my two HID sets and not got a solution yet. So........anyone fixed this and if so how? Is there a difference in wiring for 99 spec headlights as they had HIDs as standard right? What about the traders who sell HIDs you must have come up on this seeing as it seems quite common............? Chris

Fitted hids lost 1 main beam..?
Great someone else with the same issue. HIDS on Dip work ok if take a little long to warm up. HIDS on main beam momentarily work then driver side cuts out. Come on all you auto electrical types what could this be? All bulbs sound etc. Chris

Ten of the best no 300zx????
- Ten of the best no 300zx????
Lets al remember the Z is an OLD car now and so it popularity is probably on the wane unless tarentino decides to make it the star of his next movie? It would be way cool to find the Blitz / Jun bonneville record car (record still stands 262mph two way Vmax). Hell I would buy it just to smoke TOTB. Never say never if someone can find it we will get it over here !!!!! Chris- Who's still got the original titanium key then?
Got all three. Titanium, Black and Red Valet key. Minor but it actually swayed the decision over another car that was almost identical except for..........Mine had all three keys AND the fairlady mats......LOL- tomei combo blow-off / recirculation valves
anyone help?- Anyone know anything about ECU's?
WOW how this hasn't gone bang yet is amazing......... unless...... You said it came already chipped from japan, maybe it has upgraded injectors, forged internals etc. but stock I/C's would tell me NOT. Turn it down mate before it becomes and expensive short term thrill. I am runnning 15psi on stock injectors with colder plugs, stillen intercoolers and optimax religiously. I was advised by many folks that this is the max and the cold plugs and i/coolers are good security. Chris- So where is your zed Rusting?
Jap spec 14 years old no rust so we need to lobby to use volcanic ash in winter rather than salt like they use in japan.......? Anyone know the best way to keep it rust free? (real world plz i drive 30k a year and do not want to preserve it in aspic in a michael jackson style oxygen tent) and where to get it done?- tomei combo blow-off / recirculation valves
bump- tomei combo blow-off / recirculation valves
Guys, In the US again and just took a punt on these apparently made specifically for the 300zx. They are in good condition but the Trouble is no idea how to fit them. Has anyone on the list seen these before or better still got them fitted? I need fitting instructions. Specifically these are not just straight blow off valves............ They are an 'intelligent blow-off valve that blows or re-circulates depending on what the car needs at the time???!!!! this be hype and bull or a really cool piece of kit. Anyone?- Snoopers / Road Angels?
I run a micro road pilot with two laser detectors add-ons one buried in the front bumper and one in the rear just above the reg place. The I chose the Micropilot cause it is GPS driven updated on-line in seconds and great for fixed camera's PLUS it don't look your driving with a fookin PSP in the window. Is it only me or do those TOM TOM's look so naff hanging off the windscreen. Anyways rant over I do a lot of driving >30k per year and one of these is necessary to protect my livelihood. Of course the laser / radar detectors were ahem fitted in japan your honour. They are fully integrated and flash up on the unit which hangs off my steering column and is the size of a 50p piece nice and discrete and you can slide the head unit off and literally put it in your wallet. It has saved my ass enough times for me to know I would never have a car without them. Now just suppose my neighbour was a copper and he was kind enough to let me test the set-up.............It works and works good. allegedlly etc........... http://www.roadpilot.com- Boost question
Wow i definitely see more boost on cold mornings and less on very hot days. Car is noticeably more sluggish. I know the stock guage is pants but safety boost is like less than half of stck boost right? Chris- Boost question
Welcome to turbo car ownership.........! :) This is entirely normal and can be improved if you lower charge temperatures with an intercooler upgrade or cryo spray but...........You will then still have the cool morning effect anyways but just able to see a bit more boost a bit more often. Chris- Full tune engines
Hey forum' For research purposes i am interested to know how many members have cars that were fully tuned when they left japan. i.e. A 300TT with a Jun Auto 'full engine build' and tune or example an Afblug complete engine.........? Amuse prepared 300zx anyone? Chris C- Absolutly Gutted!
Sad day, But.......... Maybe we can all get rich quick starting a business called cars re-united that re-unites wistfull owners to their former vehicles :) (shit that could work tm Mines Twinturbo!!!!!!) I have spent 4k on mine so far and know it is still only worth at best 1k more than all the dogs out there.......... But as you say we are driving 40k cars and we make em able to kick the ass of £70k cars so it is still cost effective and you also got to be a part of a fine cars history. I have modified everything I have had from My hyper modified 9.5hp FS1E at 16 (yes that is some story) to my Z (even sneaking bits onto my missus RX8) just to be different. Don't leave the fold Chris- Air con help needed
Yeah bud thats what I want them to do but they all ask the whats in it question first and will not come out and cast an expert eye over it often saying never worked on one mate etc.......Need the questions to be able to weed out the yellow pages trawl. Chris- Air con help needed
Team, Had my aircon re-gassed at Ztech when they did my tubs and gearbox....... Anyway........ Was working perfectly before and after but has since developed a leak and lost all the refrigerant. My ass is roasting in the car now  My 1995 workshop manual says it is R134a refrigerant but my car is a 1992 JDM Twin turbo with a little sticker near the VIN plate that says R12. So.......... As usual the local guys have no experience of a Z and when I took the car for one to see the guy said he needed to know what was in it and whether the system had fittings for R12 or R134a then it all went a bit blah blah blah to my ears as he said how difficult it would be and "not much room and where is the high pressure bit". As he scratched his head my confidence levels plummeted. So what do I need to do find the leak and it get it re-gassed locally. I need enough info and questions to ask of the 'specialist' to see whether I trust them to do the job. Thanks in advance guys Chris- How do i remove the headlights?
whats the easiest way to chrome the plastic?- Tokyo Drift
I laughed out loud when they put the RB26DETT into the Mustang. One of the tech advisors must have said over a few beers......... "Now how do we really really really piss off the american muscle car fraternity?" Also converting the EVO to RWD for drifting WTF? My 10yr old thought it was a cool film, Cars were good and the nitrous sequence on the Wangan was the best bit.......... So a hit then- every one keeps racing me in my zed
Not sure what my car is making HP & Torque wise but two lads in an EVO that was "making over 350HP" wanted to "See what it will do mate?" the other day. Nothing in it acceleration wise but when we hit three figures (closed runway test facility natch) the superior aerodynamics kicked in...... But yes everyone wants to race even Honda Type R's :headvswal- New Member looking to nuy 300zx
In my experience you will kiss a lot of frogs :x: until you find a prince of a car !!!! Or the other way round kiss a lot of dogs until you find a princess ???? oh this analogy does not work so well. :headvswal Anyway save yourself a lot of time and buy a car with lots of history. If a Z of this age has been properly looked after you should see a fist full of receipts and lots of oil changes and service evidence. Knowing what I know now i would start looking on this forum first then go see one from an autotrader trade ad to have a laugh and see what the bottom of the food chain looks like. Then you pays yer money and takes your choice. Go for enthusiast owners first and foremost. Chris- TT - Low Oil Pressure?
Yup about the top of it Chris - Ten of the best no 300zx????
