Yes - the kits that are out there are to add Euro / UK spec transmission oil cooler to J model. So if you have a UK car you should be OK. Mike Feeney (MJP in Traders) knows what's what - both the Nissan spec and the aftermarket replacement if you want to be doubly sure. HTH - Gio
  2. We wouldn't do that sort of thing on this forum, surely?

  4. Quite right - putting a bunch of Zs into Max Power can only improve it! And the more interest there is in buying our cars, the better price we'll get. And I'm over 45 now so don't get much of a chance to see young ladies with bits hanging out :D

Yes but IF (and I hope it never happens) you have to claim and the insurers inspect and find stuff you haven't declared - you're not insured. Big risk.

  11. certainly was - Nov 2002 issue, RX-7, MkIII Supra, 300ZX. "..a serious lot of fun for the money." "[compared to the Supra] The Nissan is its suave, cool cousin - the car it would like to be, with even more power, huge poise and grip and fabulous handling up to and beyond the limit." Clearly not all car journos are mouthy gits!
  12. Woahhh - that's one mighty full disk drive, TopLess - you should have (IMHO) at least 25% free if not more.
  13. You're smiling more in the other pic! do-gooding, non-meat eating EXTREMELY RICH lefty lol. "Baby you can drive my car..."

  22. Richard, you're right not to put up with poor bodywork. I took someone to court over this and ended up with several hundred squiddlies to put things right. The Small Claims Court is a wonderful thing - as is Contract Law. Has the trader who did the work done it to the standard required by the contract? If not, you are entitled to damages to rectify the situation. If you haven't already, make it clear to chappie that you expect the work to be done to that standard you would reasonably expect from a professional. Including, but not limited to, the paint matching, the bumper not being damaged, and the boot spoiler not being cracked. Even if you only agreed to pay (eg) £200 for the job but the damage would cost £500 to put right, he's got to cough up the £500. If you win, that is! Good luck - Gio
  23. Hi Raz, out of current experience - I spoke to both AON and LIfesure today - their "protected ncb" works like this. I had (in August) 2 "lives" on my ncb. No claims, no nuffink. Then some git hit me and I had to make a claim (so my insurance would claim against git's insurance). Strike one "ncb life". So I now only have 1 "ncb life" left. So my premium is unaffacted apart from market forces. When git gets taken to court and coughs up, I will get 1 "ncb life" back again putting me back to 2. If the accident had been my fault, then I would now be at 1 "ncb life" - hence only 1 get-out-of-jail-free card left. Lose this one and bingo - lose all ncb. One thing which nearly caught me out is this. My Z was written off. I bought the salvage and am in the middle of having it repaired. My renewal is in 10 days and I had not had any notice so I rang the insurers. Lifesure said that the car was written off so the policy had lapsed. They sorted it in the end (thanks guys) but if anyone was bought back their car as salvage to repair and put back on the road, check your insurance - you will probably need to rearrange it. HTH - Gio
  24. Have to say I voted no. Reasons? It will be a huge source of argument about who should / should not have honorary membership. There's quite enough factions / cliques / cults (did I spell that right?) without regularly pouring more Optimax on the fire. At the risk of opening old arguments (which is not my intention - this is just an example), there are a number of people who were at one time or another seen as really contributory people with lots of good words. I can name at least three who mentioning again would cause yet another bloody flame war. And the principle is we are all a club together - so we should all pay, comrade. I would stretch the occasional point - but making people an "honorary member" (snark fwiff wibble) should be a rare honour. EG Craig. And there is a case for people who have arranged "invoiceable services" for the club - e.g. we are being hosted for free which is a tremendously supportive thing. But again, this should be rare, and in the accounts and agreed by committee or members beforehand. Otherwise there is a risk of funny business and accusations thereof.
  25. 95,000 miles. Matty, you might get better deal / more interest is this was joint with Z Club. If this interests you / your mate, I'll post over ther (or you can). Could he do a deal on the other models? Cheers - Gio
