I think it's been posted before but the idea is that the budget is being prepared, will be discussed at the committee meeting which has been organised for after the SE day. I guess the budget will include renewal subs amounts as well as first time subs amounts - and the whole thing will be presented here.

Don't you get the Trotsky? (being stabbed by an icepick just behind your left eyeball). Usually combined with a steady throbbing of the entire cranium.
  3. OK how come there are almost no 2+2s in the suggestions? (Only one I can spot is the Hyundai v6, I think?) I've had mine for over 4 years and to think of a replacement is well difficult. It needs 280ps, rwd, 4 seats (even tho 2 are short term as far as the occupants say :D ), 2 doors, big boot (comparatively). There are a few which fit but cost £s - DB7, Maserati. What else? Probe? don't be a Cartman. TVR? not 2+2 S2000? not 2+2 GT40 replica? not 2+2 and Ay Caramba! Corvette? see you round the twisties... Brabus? Don't know anyone rich enough to kidnap. 350Z? not 2+2 See why the 2+2 Z is such an unbeatable deal? As the thread started, what's the closest modern equivalent? Cheers - Gio
  4. Just for clarification, Lymon is still a registered member so hasn't been removed. As Mike said, he did request not to be a moderator / subscribed member for the reasons Mike said. He can still visit the Open forums (inc 300zx help/advice) and, if he chooses to enable, you can still e-mail / pm him. HTH - Gio
  5. Great minds think alike! - we looked at that but the s/w can't do it for now. We are looking at other ways but might have to start with a paper questionnaire (really up-to-date tech :D ) Cheers - Gio
  6. In the pms we have exchanged (smw1, 51x and others) the situation is far from bitter - at least between them and this forum. Both have had fair points to make and we - the mods - have followed their wishes on what happened to the earlier thread which smw1 started. Both smw1 and 51x gave very measured and reasonable answers when I asked them what they wanted. Thanks, guys. Good point.
  7. Not a problem Stu - but since it's waaaay past my bedtime, can I do it over the next couple of days and e-mail you the results? Cheers - Gio
  8. Yes Smithy, as in my earlier post, the trader reported some alleged factual inaccuracies so we moved it out of sight. In the meantime, MAC has been checking with the trader and I checked with both smw1 and 51x to see what could be brought back. They are both of the opinion that it would be difficult to edit the old thread without looking biased so had misgivings about the suggestion. In keeping with their wishes, therefore, we do not propose to bring back the thread. Of course none of this stops members posting fair and factual praise and criticism of any trader member or non-member. Rest assured that if any trader seeks to censor any member and the facts are on the member's side, we shall say so. HTH - Gio
  9. MAC - now that 51x has stuck his hand up (fairplay to the fella), can we not at least move the first bit of the thread back so people can see the +ve comments? konrad- we have been looking at (simple) questionnaires which would allow members to rate suppliers so everyone can see the current satisfaction score. Moderators should never edit / move fair and factual feedback whether +ve or -ve. But if a post is reported, we have to look at the complaint and take action in accordance with the AUP. In particular if an error of fact is established and this is complained of, we have to rectify it or take a huge risk. HTH - Gio

  11. You can stick 'em under wipers, you can hand 'em out at meets, you can leave 'em in the dealers, or just wave 'em in the streets... sorry - bad attack of the chicken song, there. If you see a zed you don't know, why not promote this forum by leaving them a calling card as featured here If you wander round PC World or similar, you will find (in the special paper section probably) Business cards by Decadry. These are the ones which are 10 to a sheet each 85mm x 54mm and have OCC 3342 on the sheet. And the above page has a pdf version laid out to print neatly on these cards. Happy sticking! - Gio
  12. OK I'll try to give a non stirring answer. Stu's post about how happy he was with SE started some spirited discussions and posts. Very interesting and worthwhile reads. During that discussion, some things were posted (I don't know which, so please don't ask me) which a trader disputed as fact and brought to the attention of the Trader Officer (or whatever it is that Mac1's called this week :D ) The thread has been taken off public display because of this. It is not a legal issue at the moment, but it was thought better to deal with it this way at least for now. Stu's post earlier is not wrong. BTW I had nothing to do with any of this, just thought you'd like to know the current situation. I am sure that if you want to ask Mac a question, he will answer as best he can. May I suggest a pm? As far as I could see (and, as I said, I was not involved in this) there were a lot of good things in Stu's original posts. Would it not be possible for Stu to bung these on his website and then invite people to come to look at it? If I've got hold of the wrong end of the stick then whoops - sorry. HTH - Gio

  15. Hi Faisal Protyre on the Industrial estate is where you want. 4 wheel laser computery thing. 515 Ipswich Road Slough Berks SL1 4EP 01753 571171 Just remember page FA-8 of the manual (and the settings you want are on FA-9 and FA-25) which says "Camber caster and kingpin inclination are preset at factory and cannot be adjusted. If camber caster and kingpin inclination are not within specification, inspect and replace any damaged or worn suspension parts". You can get camber kits which are shims to help allow for saggy springs or lowered suspension but for normal suspension, this is just masking the symptoms of saggy springs and knackered suspension. At least afaik. Cheers - Gio
  16. Ah OK I'm slowly catching up with this one! (Only another 54 threads to read! :D ) Listen Paul - since I'm not under time pressure at the moment (my car is going off to the bodyshop tonight) and I've been late getting back to you, why don't you let kia99 have your wheels. I've got someone who promised me a set of UK wheels about 10 days ago but hasn't let me know a price or condition or anything yet. I'll give him a couple of days yet. james300 - when were you thinking of getting rid of yours? Cheers - Gio

Ahh oops sorry kia99 - I thought Paul was going to let me know what condition they were in but I might have missed his reply. I'll pm him and see what happens. Are you after the UK rears or just a set of alloys all round? Cheers - Gio

  20. And if you check out their "Distributors" page it's blank! Danny - have you got a version of ConZult for Pocket PC 2002 yet? PS Oil on troubled waters, petrol on fire. It is vital you don't get the two actions mixed up!
  21. Hallo mate - just fyi if you look up and to the right a bit, you will see a button marked "search". If you put the words "oil cooler" in there, you will see 53 threads - some of which shed light on the oil cooler question and one of which is yours! And just to be helpful, it's http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=96218&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending . If it works. HTH - Gio
  22. Hi y'all, I am looking for a photo from the front or front quarter of a silver ZX with OEM bumper (not 99 spec JDM) and number plate in UK position and matt black stripe filling in the gap between the sidelights (as stock). For example: this is "wrong": Because although the bumper is stock spec, the number plate is too low (dangling down when it "should" be between the sidelights) and the space between the sidelights "should" be matt black. Pics or links gratefully received. TIA - Gio
