If youre technicaly minded you can remove the orange filter, youll need to fit some sort off clear perspex filter and some orange bulbs, will cost you more in time than cash. Im sure a few peeps on here have done it. I might have a go at mine one day when im feeling brave. Good luck. P.S Any chance of removing the CAPS!!
  2. Id wager the chasis must be a bit bent. I twated my astra cab into a kerb and had the same prob replaced everythingand the wheel was still out, had to get it jigged, then flog it quick!!!
  3. :D :D :D I must lead a sad life, I've really missed this place, been having to read the posts but not been allowed to reply. Well done for fixing it Craig. Now for a posting frenzy!!:D :D
  4. Mine did that when it had air in the system, just a thought.
  5. Well it gets the post count up anyway!!
  6. Dunno wheter a turbo timer has got owt to do with it if i have my turbo timer off and use the key to turn of engine i dont get it, but when the tubo timer is on after its counted down it cuts the engine and you get a noise from the fuel pump which sounds like a little electic motor spinning for about 2 seconds. I thought this was normal.
  7. This may sound really stupid, but you may find that you get more fuel in your car during very cold weather. I used to run a petrol station and we used to get a shrinkage of petrol in our tanks according to temperature. Eg. In summer a tanker arrives at say 20deg c and it is put into the tank where the fuel is 13deg c, when the fuel that has gone into the tank reduces in temperature down to the same temp as the rest (13deg c) the volume reduces say from 7000 ltrs to around 6800 to 6900 ltrs. This will also work in reverse in winter. So possibly you can fill your tank with 60 litres of fuel from a garage that has the fuel underground which can be colder than the air temp above ground, say the fuel underground is 4 or 5 deg c and when its in your tank it will rise to say 12 or 13 deg c, thus your 60 litres will increase to 61/ 62 litres. Working on my cockeyed theory here for best economy, you have to fill up when its cold and if the temp goes up you will gain extra fuel. God i must be bored.:D
  8. I'd defo disconect the battery for a bit and see if that sorts it. If you are getting all the gears it may be electrical and not mechanical, when my box went on my old one i lost all drive, but i suppose there are many diffent ways the autobox can die. Good Luck
  9. You didn't say where you were from, maybe someone local will come and have a look with you.
  10. Bloody hell, I thought it had been knicked or something for a minute. Then i thought that you may finally realised that it was too powerful for a BIRD and sold it!!! LOL:D I'm gonna regret saying that arent I?

Cant believe i had'nt looked at this thread cos i tought it was about boring old keys!!! When i saw so many posts i had to have a look to see what was so interesting about them!!! And now ive learnt 2 things; 1) my boot lock may be mis aligned as i cant open the boot with the silver key (but who cares thats what the handle is for). 2) NEVER EVER try to pull a bird with a Zed as they'll rip you to peices!!!:D :D :D I reckon this one may mnage 100 replies!!
