Sometimes when im driving down dark country lanes late at night, when I glance in the rear veiw mirror I sometimes i see a man with an axe sitting in the back, but he cant be the same problem as yours as he doesnt make any noise.;)

Can you not get the tick over down by loosening the screws on the tps, when you turn it the revs go up or down. When i took mine off to clean it, when i put it back on tickover was at 2 grand because i hadnt put it back on in the same position as i took it off, one quick twist and it was sorted!!

I thought that the only "colour" that isnt a "colour" is black, because its a lack of colour, as all the light is absorbed and none is reflected, like with a red car all the other colours of light are absorbed and only the BEST colour is reflected!!!:D

The reason for the light comming on is probably just your power steering being a bit low. Hicas stands for High Capacity Actively Controlled Suspension, basicaly what it does is in a high speed turn it turns the rear wheels in the opposite directoin to the fronts for a split second then turns them in the same direction, very clever stuff!!

I think that means your shift lock isnt operating properly, you should also be able to hear it click if your standing stilland you put the brake on, it could be that the that the plastic bit is sticking on the shifter and might just need a wiggle to free it. When I was fitting my razo shifter i noticed that if you you didnt position the stick on the shaft in just the right position it could cause the shift lock not to work, so by the same token if your gearnob has slipped up or down the shaft by as little as a millimeter it can affect the shift lock. But be careful if you take it apart!!

Well I was gonna take them off and clean the connectors etc, but the first plastic clip i touched snapped as it was very brittle from the heat, Ah well think ill get some new plugs and plasticy bits on the next sevice!!!

The plot thickens.... I decided to take it for a spin to see if it would break down on me (better now than on the way to work later)and after the most unmechanicaly minded poking of various clips and connectors under the bonnet before i started it perfect, ran perfect, and everything. Strange is not the word, only problem is now, I dont know what was playing up, so now I dont know what had caused it. Is there a fault code for your zed having a sulk because you were too lazy to put it in the garage and it had to sit outside i the cold all night??:confused:

I'm not being lazy, have done a search on this, which got so many results that the prob could be coilpacks, P.T.U, airflow thingy, plugs???....optimax?? Right heres what seems to be wrong; The zed has had a tiny occasional misfire (when cold) on startup for about a month or so, nothing major just like it ticks over fine for about 10 secs then misses a beat for a split second then fine again, Its never realy bothered me as after 2 mins or so always sorted itself out. This morning my brother wakes me up when he goes to work to tell me my brake lights have somehow stayed on overnight???WTF?? (anyway thats another story!!) So while im outside i think ill put it in the garage, start it up and it misfires (worse this time) and stalls when i put it in reverse. Try to restart and it wont fire up just turns and turns and turns. So i leave it a min or two, and its still the same., so i give it a bit of gas whilst trying to turn it over and with a bloody great squeal of the auxillary belts it fires up, a quick rev stops the belts from squealing and she ticks over but the missfire is more frequent now than it has been previously. Im scared to take it to work later now as im worried that it will get warm, run ok then cool down while im at work and do the same trick when i try to start it cold and show me up in the carpark!! As ive got the fstest car in the carpark I dont want to ruin her image!!! Any advice most greatfully recieved!

My experiment, well in all the exitement I forgot!!! But, a 200 new shape no pop up lights jobby flashed us when we were in convoy and i flashed back. And gavoits nice when other zed owners flash eachother (unless its macca getting his ass out the window!!!) Youll have to let us know your reg plate so we can all not flash or wave if we see you!!! Is going to meets sad then, just cos weve all got the same car!!!:p :p
