Well it was whistling like it had a bloody jet engine in it!!! Stu, in realaton to m**s, my mate is of macca like mass, but that is compensated by my duff like mass.......and the two birds in the back had their mass in all the right places!!!;)

Whilst driving around the ring road a vw polo (shistey looking green thing about a C reg) in front of me started to boot it, so i shot up behind him. We then got along side it at the lights and when we pulled off HE pulled away from me!!!! We then went down the same dual carrageway that i got whipped by i scoob on (which i have scince found out is heavily modded, so i dont mind so much) And again pulled away from me, ok it wasnt by much and i was four up. My car is performing fine, and the speeds we were doing tells me that ive got no problems with the car, the polo was just blatently faster, it whistled like a ba5tard, so im guessing it had a G40 engine or something, but i was absolutley flabergasted!!! When we got to the next roundabout the guy looked very pleased with himself, until my mate said to him yeah but it still looks sh1t!!! Beaten by a polo, deffo time to get some mods:confused:

Could be the aiv's ( a long shot i know but worth checking) as they make some weird noises when they get water in the U bend on the pipes. http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/aiv/aiv.htm Apart from that you may have a boost leak but you should notice a drop off in power if you have. If it was the heater matrix, you would have wet feet so i dont reckon thats the prob. Good luck.

There was just enough plastic left for the hose to bite onto, so its now fixed, had a good look through that site mac, couldnt see the bit im after but ill give em a call, beats putting it off till it breaks!!

Phoned nissan today to order a new top rad hose, (the shorter one that goes from the top of the rad to the metal pipes). £33 plus VAT!!! bargain!!!! On inspection the plastc on the end of the rad is comming to bits, im hoping that there is enough left on it for a new hose to grab onto. If not has it got to be a new rad or does the plastic end bit come off somehow??

(edited), i had a bit of a play with an impretza tonight, and i couldnt stop it from pulling away from me:( I think its time to get the limiter removed etc!! And i was only out trawling the streets to find the prick who upset me (edited). Then when i got home found the top rad hose leaking:( Hi ho, Hi ho, its off to nissan i go.

..And once youve had your MOT, fold it up under the bumper till next year!!! oh i mean unless it gets foggy of course officer in which case just fold it down again.

You could try my method, 1. Buy an aftermarket hi level brake light that comes with a bracket so you can adjust the angle. 2. Fit it to the underside of the rear bumper, so that the bracket isnt visible, see pic

Id give everyone a clue as to who you got it from if i were you ie what town and city etc, the chaps age etc, quite a few of us have been shafted by dealers etc on here. But judging by the short amount of time youve had the car id get it back to him and let him sort it, or refund you. Goodv luck,.
