On my MOT, the chap pointed out to me that what he called my "top rear bush" which is just behind the rear wheel. Scince he's told me i swear i can feel that wheel moving a bit on bumps though i might be imagining it, it also makes the tyre wear on the outside. Anyone know what the real name for it is, how much it can be bought for and whether a mere motal like me can fit one, or will i need expert help?? Many thanks

Yep, most garages dont know about them, not sure how easy it is to seperate them though, Macca will know......if he ever comes back!!

I wouldnt fancy trying it, i once tried to drive a friends rover 213 without a stater motor and it set on fire, so now stuff like that scares me!!!

Just get two the same colour, and if you need to use the old one, swap the reg plates over!!! no need for 2 X tax, insurance, mot etc etc etc !!!;)

Macca told me MJP do the end tanks for about £30 and thats all you need. Hang on ill find the thread. Also how much has snapped off, if its only a bit at the endyou might be able to still grip it if you use a hose clip. Also be careful with that water pipe you took off £40 at nissan!!!

Forgive me for doubting the mighty knowledge of the duff, but sureley if a tooth had broke off the ring gear then that would cause an intermitent squeal cos it would only do it when the starter ring stops in that perticular place.:confused: My dads rover had to have a new starter ring, cos it ate a couple of teeth but it only did the noise every now and then.

Devil, I think ive seen you about on other forums as mycroft or whatever it is? Think it was the optimax thread on a skyline forum, where you appeared to be quite a knowledgable/ helpful bloke, but on here you seem to do nothing but spout a load of toss! But my question to you is why do you come on this forum and start hurling insults at clarkey, mike duffy and all the other members that contribute towards this forum so that you can come on here for free and mouth off at people. I think your just bloody rude. Jez is also a subscibed member to this site, and from what ive seen of him on here quite a decent guy. Think you might be better off going back to whatever forum you came from, (if they havent banned you too!!) And dont start having a go at me cos ive said this, or ill get macca to crush you with his bare hands!!!!

If your wheels are getting really hot you may have a sticky piston on the brake calliper too!!! mine have just started squaking a bit and when i touched the wheels they were quite hot, so im going to get my head in there sunday and sort it out. Anyone would think i enjoy taking the damn thing apart!!!;)

Did a scientific test of this today; On the A444 today i overtook lots of cars, and no one over took me, all the cars were lots of colours but mine was fastest, and as mines red this proves that red is definately the fastest colour.

I think macca's getting weak in his old age, im third on his lake list and look at the size of me!!! Now hes picking on women too!!! What next Ian?? Arm wrestling with duff????:D :D ;) :p :p

After only 7 posts you have dared to question the technical knowledge of the mighty Duff??!!! Duffer knows a zed engine like the back (or even the palm) of his hand, so if he says it cant be done, then it cant be done!!!
