Stu with ref to the thermostat, i did some very sad tests with my new v's old one in a saucpan of boining water to check the new one worked before i put it in. I found the old one never quite closed tight, thus making the car get to operating temp more slowly. The new one seemed to open a moment later but when it did it opened much further than the old one, thus sureley allowing more water through faster, thus better cooling. My stock guage still reads abut the same level but have noticed it gets up to temp alot quicker these days. Sureley if you had cambelt etc you got a new stat at the time though:confused: Probably no help, but i try!!

Now funny thing is, My auntie was over from Belgium at the time and i cant remember if she was driving it, or whether i had lent it to my mates mate who lives in Southern Ireland!!! I'm going to phone them tommorrow to ask for the photographic evedence so as to help me identify the driver, which according to the leafet that they have afforded to produce about it with the millions of pounds they have ripped off poor motorists going a tiny bit too fast, they have to supply me with. Cant of been me at 9.17 am !!! I simply dont get up that early!! Might nip out and buy a local paper too, see if i know anyone who has died since saturday;)

I have 16 inch wheels all round ,not 15 0n the front 16 on the back:confused: I can do over 129mph!!!! I have 300 ish horses and mines red!!:D

Im gutted, my Brother has just put a deposit down on a brand new elise, which means the poor old zed is going to get booted out of the garage and is going to have to live on the drive. Luckily I got my gran living nextdoor and being 80 odd she doesnt have a car so i guess ill spend the weekend cleaning out all the junk in her garage to make a new home for the Zed:(

No one will take you on in your zed but if you drive someone elses car the world wants to race you??:confused: Had to bring the an ex girlfriends car home from the pub for her tonight (106 with 1/3rd the capacity and 1/6th the power of a zed) and mr smart arse tossbag hyundi shyte coupe decides he wants drive really slow till i decide to try to overtake, then clog it. I called him all the names under the sun, started shouuting "do you know what i drive you slow piece of sh1t!!" , "I could beat that with both my hands shoved up my ar5e!!!" even though he couldnt hear me. And to top it all off he gave me a wave when he turned off, as if to say, nice try son. I will keep my eyes peeled for mr green hyundi, when im in my zed.

Toyota avensis comes in diesel, so do primeras. Not that its of any interest to any of us!!!;)

Ditto, its a wied thing, only ever happens whan using it after its been standing overnight or if you hit the brakes hard for the first time. Very odd, I had put it down to being one of those noises that only a zed owner can hear;)

Hmm tricky one, i dont think that Jeff at zedworld changes turbos but it might be worth giving him a call as im sure he will know of something or somewhere that can help. When you do find somewhere youll have to post it up, so i'll know what to do when i eventually break mine!!!;) Good luck.

A clean of the throttle bodies could be in order, that and giving the injector connectors a good press on, may cure it, only takes 5 mins so gotta be worth a shot. Might be worth disconnecting the battery for a couple of hours to reset the ecu, as it may of got its knickers in a knot for some reason. Good luck with it.
