  2. (edited) Luckily my mate, who is built like macca has kindly opted to be my body double should violence be called for as my "duff like" build only aids me in avoiding fights and not taking part.;) Im sooo foookin angry i cant sleep, then again I can't sleep most of the time anyway.
  3. (edited) P**sed off is not the word, im only a little bloke why didnt they just fight me, id rather have my ass kicked than my pride and joy molested. I'm going to gather an army this weekend and seek revenge.
  4. Oh John mate im gutted for you, but at the end of the day its just a peice of metal and it can be replaced. Glad youre ok.
  5. Alot of these leaks tend to only happen at a level you notice them when the engine is shut off, best bet is get it hot, not just warm proper hot, then watch it cool, and listen for bubbly noises and leaks it you hear it bubbling its pulling air in somewhere and if most likeley a perished or lose hose. Good luck.
  6. Chris there are two bolts behind the pulley on the PS pump, and i believe they both have to come out to get the pump off as i had to slacken these just to slacken the belt off when i did the water pump, i used a spanner with a bar on the end to undo em, once they go "crack" they quite easy to undo, just be careful not to round them off. With the aircon i think you can fit a ring spanner in there, this accompanied by a metal bar should shift it. Good luck
  7. Is your belt tight enough? When i took mine off i think you could wiggle it a bit with no belt on, perhaps a tighten of the belt will pull it into line. Good luck.

Nelsons the oil expert, but he likes to run his on a small cup full (to save on m**s!!;) ) but i believe 10/60 will work bestter at high temperatures than the 0/40 which has got to be good in a zed!!
  9. Dont swap your left and right wheels over if theyre stock (well not for long periods anyway), as you have left and right wheels, indicated by a little L or R on the side of the wheel.
  10. The old stuff (R12 i think) is now illeagal to sell, there is a more safer one now called R34 i think, and when you have it regassed they take out the old and in with the new, ive heard the new stuff is similar to the old but not quite as good, not sure as mine still got the old poision in it and works fine. Some one else should be able to let you know the prices etc but i think its not cheap.
  11. Nice flute macca, have you learnt to play it yet?;)
  12. However olive oil, baby oil and cod liver oil need to be changed more regularly!!;) CAn't Say That I can RecOmend a brand of oiL because this noRmally Starts wars!!! Like the grade you get 5w, 10w, 15w 20w/30, /40, /50, /60 The choice is yours.
  13. Mines always been fine on my current zed, but i know how bad they can be as my previous zed one did what the hell it liked!

I think its the little silver shims that go behind the pads are to blame, mine used to suffer from it, when i had new pads it would clear up for a while, but when i fitted the pads myself i was going to fit new shims which would be easy but as it was in the evening nissan was closed, so i spent a great deal of time cleanining the shims and removing the baked on shite that had accumulated over time, turned out theyre shiney silver underneath, not black!! then i put some copper grease on em and put them back on and all is fine now. I would have expected the creek to come back by now, but so far so good. So in my opinion, clean up the shims, i reckon that will fix it.

  17. Your not looking at the rear pillars are you, the zed only has lap belts so the holes you need to be looking in are in the seats.

Id wager on the shox, good news is j spec shox are cheap i got a pair fitted at zedworld for £160. The back end of mine was terrible when i got it but the shox and rebound bushes (which dont add alot to the price) sorted it beautifully. You could jack the back up and give the back wheels a wobble to see if theres any play in em, ive got a bit of play in one of mine and its the upper bush behind the rear wheel, crap description i know, but you can hartdly feel this. When it was the shox it felt like it was going to turn around on pot holes. Bezt of luck with it.

I think that is what most on here would describe as the norm on zed brakes, ie crap. Ive never had any trouble with mine even managed to outbrake a porshe once when we both booted it over a hill into stationary traffic. You may have a piston or two seized up in the calipers, if you remove the pads, with the top off the resevior you should be able to push the pistons back quite easy, if you cant try giving them a good clean up, if that fails it might be seals or calliper time! Good luck
