  1. They do over here. I bet I could insure a nice, rotten Irish twin turbo for half the cost
  2. Shipping from Japan takes about 10-12 weeks... That's not normal... Sorry just realised you meant paperwork on your side.
  3. Something that's easy to miss if you're not experienced with auctions, unfortunately. Given a grade 4 you wouldn't expect to find anything unusual.
  4. 02/09/2016 - 1995 GCZ32 version S Recaro
  5. Swear I saw it posted on facebook recently.
  6. Welcome and nice car. I wouldn't be so sure about ordering from Nissan UK though - very expensive!
  7. Dealer price ¥498,000. Seems quite cheap - may just be because it's NA, auto, no xenon headlights, above average mileage, and had some areas repainted.
  8. Schutz on my car too. Too early to comment though.
  9. Reception contacted me this morning, requesting that I remove my large package. That was a cramped drive home. Thanks Mondo for all of the advice :)
  10. I suppose convertibles were mainly for the US. They had different formats VINs, but I wonder do the numbers align?
  11. 01/09/2016 - 1992 HZ32 Love these convertible interiors.
  12. The diplomatic approach! Just noticed your username, is that some in-joke with FunkySi? :p
  13. I think so, but Sir Charles most recently. Really nice car. An original gear knob and xenon headlights would be a big improvement I think!
  14. I don't expect he was trying to rip anyone off, but he most definitely is at fault. If the car was purchased from a reputable auction house then even if this was an oversight it could've been sorted. I think it's a completely reasonable expectation that an import agent would have the car thoroughly inspected immediately after purchase, or have their partners do so in the case of a foreign agent. That was my own experience and was the only reason I would pay commission for such a service. Realistically this car has probably been written off at a minimum. It may not even be much of an issue, but it will devalue the car. I definitely would not be accepting it. To be fair let's wait and see how this develops before I say anymore. The man in question has been a great asset to the club so far in my opinion.
  15. That's not a normal VIN anyway. There's probably some explanation on the sheet.
  16. In that case the VIN would have been recorded on inspection and something like this certainly would have been noted. Even if not, I understand that the auction house would be liable and you would have plenty of recourse... Assuming the car was still in the country when this was noticed, at least.
  17. That still doesn't sound right to me. Do you have the export cert? I take it this car wasn't bought from a public auction but I would be interested to know how this wasn't picked up before the car came half way across the world...
  18. 30/08/2016 - 1994 CZ32 Looks like some light bodywork is needed.
  19. Looks great and I see you've even changed some glass! What about the interior? Would need to be a separate thread as you can't have two polls and that would make too many options.
