  7. mate great news, was starting to get worried for you....
  8. true enough, i hadnt expected anyone would sell the box for £500!
  9. not assuming anything mate, but you sure its definatly not condensation from the codl weather and the car overfueling...? is there deffinatly blue smoke, as that is oil... white is normally from over fueling this time of year and condensation.... alittle bit of throttle should remove the white if its just overfuel/condensation... i might be wrong but worth a try
  10. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-90-96-STYLING-DASHBOARD-TRIM-KIT-NSN-2B-BA_W0QQitemZ8022032406QQcategoryZ72213QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem might be of interest to those looking to update the interior of the zed... just found it browsing... it might be rubbish quality no experiance..
  11. right that does start to explain a bit then....
  12. haveing recently returned from the poor part of america (canada) I noticed that all the fuel out there is below 90 octane (even the preium stuff is like 91)... so when we go crazy insiting on 99/ron100 type optimax/tesco stuff do we really need to? Do they run less boost on the zeds out there? I understand higher boost requires more octance petrol to avoid detting if possible as a safe guard.. but do we really need extra octane?
  13. im no expert but this does kinda smack of lots of £££ to get little back, a rebuild of your 300 box with slight change in the ratios and lightened fly/decent clutch would in all likelyhood make a bigger difference for less cash. also you would have more support and access to skilled techs should anything ever go wrong... I can not see many people happy to repair a 300 witha 350 box ba$terised to fit init... IMHO
  14. does seem to be guys more than girls... but it is the season of good will...
  15. slight aside and not trying hi jack but whats the alc supposed to do anyways... the hks website kinda vague/im being thick
  16. being nissan at least twice as long as you budget plus 3times the faff time... unless you have really small hands or have done the job before... vague i know but its how i work out nissan labour times for my "quick" weekend jobs
  17. just incase anyone is feeling down with the winter problems of driving a zed... finally a chick at work pointed out how nice my car looks and sounds.. is this a victory for zed owners..(as in finally it turns a girls head not just guys...lol) made me feel better in the festive season anyways...
  18. where you looking for non-restricting silencers.. also interested as my zed is fooking loud when its cold and just running round town... need to rip the cat out and get some sort of silencer in
  19. nice pics and very handy lynmon...
  20. the hicas light will come on in about 5 mins of driving.. mine does the same... the hicas doesnt work at all, but i can not see any reason why it would be an mot fail... hicas is fairly specialised and the mot isnt exactly a comprehensive check. not about your cruise.. any chance you still have the buttons from your stock wheel and the wires? just i would like (somehow) to re intregrate the cruise to my z, but the other owner just threw the stock wheel when it was replaced...
  21. mate transferred the ££ yesterday and fired off an email with my address on... have a good xmas and look forward to getting the lights in
  22. think im happy with the 265/35 and 225/40 pairing off now thanks guys... good price decent tyres and the car should handle well.. decent compramise
  23. right, so its not as easy as just swapping whats on... you think like i said above 225/40 and 265/35 might work out ok? or should i go up to 235 (assuming they will fit.. looked at my rims couldnt see a width anywhere..)
  24. so 225/40r18 and keep my 265/35r18 on the rear should work out ok... think im going for falken fk 451 tyres....
  25. Coming to swap my front tyres and had some great advice of you guys on where and what to buy, but im confused on sizes.. the wheels look the same front and rear, but on the front its running 225/45/r18 and the rear 265/35/r18... ive been told 235 might be better on the front but what do people think? Confused on if i should run 265/35 on front as well or 235/35? or even 235/40 help needed please!!
