  1. right, how much was the replacement sender? how difficult was it to swap out...? Il probably do the same and keep the not very good standard one as well
  2. in that case any chance i could tap an after market one in to the sender for the stock one? Does the stock one require the rev guage to be swapped out as well or just the oil guage itself
  3. cheers, so is it just a loom on to the ecu or something? sorry for ignorance... but the cars got a jwt chip and would pull better with a bit more boost
  4. Ive read in a few searchs these thing are not up to much, and mine seems to be proving no different.... it works as and when it wants really (well at least i hope thats the case and im not randomly running no oil pressure!!!) anythin i can do just to fault find whats going on...?

  6. ok this is gonna sound really stuipid, but what sort of level should the p/s be at...? its just the previous owner has painted over the outside of the container so i can only see through the top!!! :headvswal :headvswal also what grade of p/s fluid needs to go in? Im guessing by the fact the light sometimes gos off the hicas isnt disabled....
  7. ive just got an auto tt, its a nice drive but i am thinking the auto box does take some of th fun out of spirited driving on lanes and small a roads, great for long drives though

When i brought my zed i was told the hicas was disabled and thought nothing of it, but having looked a bit closer the hicas light intermitantly gos off.... so im thinking it probably hasnt been disabled and is just playing up... it seems to come on and go off as it pleases, sometimes it stays off for ages other times it flickers off/on then stays either of or on, but i cant really find any pattern to its behaviour... anyone got any suggestions on what might be going on or where i can start with this...?
  9. is there much involved with the fitting of the greddy boost controller?
  10. My aircon appears to be backlight, but the section on the right hand side of the wheel (cruise switch and the dimmer) does not. Is there an easy way to swap out the bulbs for this section? Anyone got any pics? This was a pig of a job on my 200sx is it any better on a zed?

  12. hammerite as in the spray can stuff? do you need to go for the bbq style extra heat stuff or will it just be fine with normal hammerite?
  13. right, im not overly bothered about rds to be honest, i dont think its that great a feature... be a bit upset if the freq spacing causes that many problems.... anything that could be done to sort this do you think? also does anyone know if multi region chips are available for us headunits?
  14. sorry me being thick i think.. but did it come out white when you sanded it? or was the nissan lettering on your calipers white before you painted them? my lettering isnt white so im guessing il need to buy 2 kits to get the desired effect...

  16. is there any reason why a head unit imported from the states wouldnt work over here? im looking at a few and the freq spacing is the same as here but im after a combined dvd style head unit (obviously play region 1 dvds only) but anything else that might be different/catch me out?
  17. hiya guys, picked up my zed yesterday (mattys old one..) but ive noticed something strange with the drivers electric seat... all the movements work except moving the seat forward (toward the steering wheel). The seat will move back though, so am i correct in assuming its probably just the switch thats not working / poor conection as it surly must be the same motor/action to move the seat back... is there any quick way i can move the seat forward a bit before i have the time to fault find the wiring/switch...? thanks andy

  19. mate which greedy boost controller fits in place of the clock.. that job looks sweet and a decent bit of kit to fit in place of a useless clock!
  20. greg did you buy 2 kits to the red and the white? or is the undercoat type paint from halfrauds white?
  21. im getting a zed with a jwt chip, but after a few searchs on the chip ive not really found many details...? whats the deal with boost jets...? its a term ive not come accross before and do al jwt chips come with them fitted? does the jwt chip accept different maps or is it simply an improved map for higher boost and removing any kinda of top speed limiter.?? ive noticed a few guys using them so im hoping my ignorance can be easily corrected.... thanks andy
  22. anyone knwo if this kit is any good? looks very promising and at only 990us$ its alot cheaper than getting a manual conv. how difficult would it be to swap out the old auto controller?
  23. daft question but here it gos... is there really that much to be gained by boaring out the engine by .05 to .1 of a litre......? i understand the advantages of stronger internals and more boost, but for the cash to you really get that much more performance...? (im sure this is a stuipid question once answered but im interested to know...)
