random daft question, but does the 300 have variable intermitantcy wipers... my old 200 had the ability to change the pausing period of the wipers when on the intermediate mode and i found it very usefull. Just wondering if the 300 has the same....

i just want a manual over auto for the driving experiance, personnal choice i guess...

sorry complete newbie here but the zen garage seem to be the guys to deal with from reading various threads, but i seem to be unable to find out where they are based :headvswal the money seems sensible for new kit to be fitted, and i definatly fancy paying someone rather than going through the hassle myself...!!!! if i put aside £1200 i shouldnt have any unnecessary suprises then.....?? also i take it so long as the parts are waiting before i drop the car off it could all be done in one working day... (i could drop it off and drive it back same day?) just incase the guys at zen are not near me...... cheers all for the help

daft question but im nwe here so guess got to be asked; where abouts in the uk are the zen boys? im looking round for someone to do an auto/manual conv and prefer to take it to decent guys that know the cars!

doesnt sound to bad really, anyone know o a decent place in or around the midlands that has doen this conv before and what sort of labour charge i should be expecting? £500-600 doesnt sound too bad, where have people ben sourcing the boxs from? i had to swap out the box on my 200 before and just got a cheap one from a breakers yard, but guessing thats not the attitude with a z really.....

is it feasable to buy an auto boxed car and swap the gearbox out for a manual? Is it just a case of swapping out the old auto box and dropping in the manual box clutch etc or is there more to it..(ie floor pan mods...) im desperately looking for a decent z with the cash to spend but only turning up auto TTs and really want a manual..... also what sort of cost would the manual box clutch and stuff id need to finish the conversion go for....? just working out if its worth the hassle...

cheers guys, i dont mind tail sliding the car, and my old 200 was great for it, but im quite a track day fan, so am i right in thinking once im used to trusting the HICAS, it should be useful on the track in keeping the car straight, and il just have to adjust my sliding technique when i get close to the edge on tracks?

im sure this is a daft question, but how are you guys getting away with such low milages, i mean do you really only do 5k a year or is there an 'adjustment' that your insurance isnt necessarily informed of? just in theory obviously...

im out in canada at the moment, and man there are some sheds on the road out here!!!!! never sure if the cars round here will actually stop, or if the rust will allow them to separate from the chassis or not!!!!!!! Stil does save on the annual heart ache of the MOT....

guys im confused why so many people appear to disable the hicas on 300zx / skylines, i thought the idea was that the HICAS helped you with the handleing ? Am i to take it that even if the HICAS is in a well maintainned condition that its still not that great?

although standing the oil coolers wont have any air flow, the turbo compressor will still have time with a constant oil supply to the bearings/shaft to slow down.. the pressure from the exhaust at idle wont be enough to spin the turbine much so it gives everything chance to spin down. However its not just the tubby that needs time to cool down after 'spirited' driving. Brakes benefit from cool down time as does the entire engine bay. I had a modded 200 that got very hot under the bonnet, but never used a turbo timer, much prefered to just chill the car on the last 5-10 mins of the drive home (also never hurts to drive sensibly round places you drive often...) then if it was a fast drive until my destination (motorway speeds) just give the car a few mins chilling on the driveway..

Im looking to get a 300zx TT manual, probably an import and was wondering what sort of premium i should be expecting (im out the uk so cant phone any companys and the damn websites wont give a quote...) im 25 with 6yrs (full..) NCD, my last car was a modded 200sx 14, all mods declaired and PNCD, policy was with adrian flux for about 780 per year i think... wondering the difference with a standard 300zx TT cheers all

Hi guys as some of you know im looking for a 300 TT manual when i get back to the uk towards the middle of september. Im quite happy to go for an import, and it seems id get more car for my money if i did, so im looking for a few decent importers that anyone could recommend.. ive looked around and feel m budget is sensable, looking at between 5000 - 8000 uk, so should sort me a decent car i think.... All suggestions welcome... also not sure what colour to go for... thinking metallic... i fancy something a bit bright... cheers for the advice guys...
