I was thinking along those lines as well, you know really making a special job of it, and I have to say that all my mates love the car and want me to keep it and do it up properly. :cry: the defining factor now is that I'm starting my own business and will need to give clients a lift so the zed just aint suitable I'm afraid. :cry: again

About £18k....that £8k more than I've already spent on the zed and about the same as it would have cost if the film crew hadn't fixed her problems for the lend!!!

Having had absolutely no luck with the 300zx i am considering letting the guy who is using it for filming at the moment sell it for me.....apparently its quite famous now and should recoup some of the fortune I have spent on it due to its new found fame....its been in the paper and will be on film 2006 etc. I am considering buying an M3 on an 02 plate and wondered if anyone had any experience of the car in terms of performance and importantly reliability!!!! Your opinions are always valued. Rob PS.I really wanted to make the zed thing work but I trusted the wrong garages with the work and over a year later the car will be fixed and I've lost interest :cry: Maybe I should reveal who did the work? On a lighter note who fancies a race when I get an M3!!!!! How do they perform in comparison?

Does anyone know of a competent mechanic or zed specialist who could fit a set of tubs to my car before the 9th of October? The reason for this is that the car is needed for filming...I have asked zen garage and mark is getting back to me after speaking to his mechanic, I'm also going to ask Paul at southwest but I know he's busy. Anybody know someone who can do this at short notice? I already have the tubs. Rob

As some of may have read I have lent my car to loftygtr to take part in a new film! His end of the deal is that he will fix my tubs for me in the budget....the problem being I need to find some asap preferably 360 thrust bearing and please please in perfect order. I've had enough bad luck to last a lifetime!! I know Jaypsc had some and am waiting for him to contact me. Does anyone else either have some used or can get brand new quickly (very quickly!). Fitting is sorted so just the tubs please. Thanks as ever PS. sorry for posting in the wrong section but it gets more attention here and its urgent!! :eek:

Car was not really woth anything as it was I guess and I've had nothing but trouble so lets hope its a bonus!! If it works out then maybe I can meet a few members and become a true member of the forum!!! If it doesn't....lesson learned! Rob

Don't know if any of you saw a previous post by LOFTYGTR but he needed a car that looked similar to his old one for a film. Anyway I've lent my smokey zed to him as it was near identical. He drove it all the way to Brighton from Brum with no probs....apart... from the smoke of course....oh and a blowout!!! The deal is that he has a budget from the film company so in return for the lend of the car as he wont need to do much external modding the budget will go to fixing the problem. He collected the car on Sunday from my parents house. Seems like a good deal to me what do you lot think. By the way I got all his insurance docs as well as ID with copies and proof of the film companies existance. Maybe some good luck at last. Rob :D

I took my car to a very well established and proffesional garage who have fixed my other cars many many times......asked them to find out what was wrong with my zed.....opened the bonnet and said no idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
