  8. melted piston and blown tubs. Apparently the boost was hiked up way too much and I didn't know when I bought it. 22psi apparently....guy obviously wanted to impress. Damn my luck! Rob
  9. Compression test was fine disovered it was only firing on 5 but that was sorted last week. If it is a problem with the breathers (i don't know if thats right) is this difficult/expensive? Thanks Rob
  10. I got all the engine swap done at Zedworld the engine had been re-built along with the gearbox about 20000 miles ago it came from Peter (Sequentialtwinturbo). Jeff confirmed that he tested the engine and that the turbos were very new. I can't understand how there can be a problem if it was all checked...just my luck or lack of it. Nearly a year since I bought it and less than 500 miles mild enjoyment. I give up. Rob
  11. Hello People! Some may remember that I had a large amount of trouble with my new zed from the moment I bought it in October! Guess what it still doesn't go properly  I have had the engine gearbox and turbos from a different car put in and hundreds of pounds worth of other work done but it still aint right damn it! The work was carried out by a reputable firm but it never comes home with me totally driveable. Anyway I just wondered if any kind sole could help my mechanic friend.....who has never worked on a zed.... to try and get it fixed for me it smokes badly when even mildly thrashed and then constantly afterwards. Breather pipes were mentioned among other things. I'll be honest I don't have a clue about these engines and I'm going back to work in London today leaving the car at my parents house in Birmingham. I don't know any of you personally as I've not been able to come to any meets yet. I would gladly pay for the work to be done just getting sick and tired of this car which has now cost in excess of £7000 and still can't be used. Thanks Rob
  12. Lovely grey zed with some of the nicest rims I've seen on the car. Attracting a lot of attention as it was the only one there!! I noticed that those steer from the rear boys have swithed to s15's now....traitors I tell you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Corporal o'squirrelly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. To be honest if you're going to mod it anyway considering how much mods cost then a few to start with is advised. BOVs, exhaust and filter at the least as these alone will take you over a grand before you start!!! Bearing in mind how much these buggers cost to fix when they go wrong I thoroughly recommend buying an already (tastefully) modded car. Of course if you always plan to keep it standard then.....anyway I prefer a few mods!! Rob
  20. My Zed is in the garage still!!! just had an engine swap and waiting for a few parts!! I was in my MG ZR a couple of cars back. Needs a good clean that blue beast of yours!!!!!!!!! ROb
