My poor zed has been off the road since i bought it due to turbo problems....as in they're completely cream crackered!! Just managed to get a 2nd hand pair cheaply wondered if there are any checks i can do before fitting them to make sure they are ok. They had about 60000kms on them by the way. Also before my mechanic friend fits them are there any other parts i should change at the same time ie. turbo seals etc? Cheers!

The one with the airbags is the one I'm after whos got one to sell?!!! :hyper:

Noticed that on the drivers side pull down sun visor in my late 93 jap zed there is something about airbags printed on it. As it came with a horrible aftermarket personal wheel I was wondering what the original looked like. I have seen a chunky version of the zed steering wheel is this it and does anyone have one?

does anyone know a website that shows how to replace the tubs on the zed? Can't seem to find one anywhere!! :headvswal

how about used ones with about 60000km on them? and what would anyone pay?

That car with trafficstar rims and in the same colour as cj's motor would quite honestly eclipse any others I've seen!!!! Incidently cj where are those angel eyes from?

Thanks for asking gaz..still ongoing got it inspected by Geoff Turbos have gone and the PCV valves. Also it has about £800 of knackered suspension so should never have had 10 months mot!!!!! He's sending me a full report so I can take action its pissing me off though might just bite the bullet and get it fixed myself...hence the insurance query! How can I just let a gorgeous car sit and rot. Thanks for reminding me about my post code ..as if I didn't already know! Rob

We talking reasonable quotes here..I've been quoted anything between 1500 and 2200!!!! A uk car was only 900...astonishing!

This is getting serious I'm trying to get a reasonble quote on my imported 93 twin turbo but I'm having minimal luck. I'm 27 have 8 years no claims live in East London and the car has the basic mods...exhaust, air filter, dump valves etc. The car is not garaged so I don't think i can get classic car insurance! Help appreciated Rob

Wondered if anyone knows if a US DVD/SAT NAV unit will be any good to me...will it play UK DVDs and have european navigation? There are loads ending soon on ebay dirt cheap! Help appreciated Rob :confused:

I bought the car from a dealer but he says he knows his rights and wont give me a penny. Trading standards say differently though! Also went to get the tracking done and the bushes have gone...how has it got 10 months mot if they're gone! I'm so pissed off I've been waiting to own one of these gorgeous cars for ages. Anybody had any experience and managed to get some money back? Must thank you all for your help again...and gaz if i get my money back I'll rue the day I didn't buy yours sorry mate! :mad:

I did really like your zed Gaz but I wanted black, hope it hasn't blown up in my face....literally. Hope the prices are reasonable I'm bloody skint now haven't sold my mg zr yet. Maybe someone could give me a worst case scenario for a smoking exhaust...go on I'm ready. Cheers all Rob

Suppose I'd better get it to a specialist then any idea if there is a good one near london. Will it cause irrepairable damage by continuing to drive it?
