Hey guys,from the time i got my 300zx some 5 years a go,i knew there was something not right,when ticking over the engine sounds fine but when i rev the car it seems to clog it self up,i watched this vid today and tryed it for myself,low and behold cylinder 1 isnt firing 2 to 6 seem fine,So i thought it might be a coil pak so i removed it and the spark plug is sparking fine.Do you guys think the injector is fecked?and if so is it possible to get just one or should i get a 6.Any advise would be great.Cheers all:chef:

Hi guys,so i got rid of one problem and now i have a new one,When i started the car first i was getting clutch and was getting the gears no problem,but now i cant even press the clutch had as a rock,would it be the slave cylinder as it cant be the master cylinder as i replaced it 2 years ago,any advise would be great,sorry for posting all these problems:pinch:
  7. Yea guys i think it is traped air,i went out and the turned on the heater temp gauge was a small bet less than 1/4 way and nothing but cold air,Added more water and then i got warm air
  8. Yea might be guys,as the water level seemed to drop every 2 minutes or so,i forgot to mention that 5 years ago a new water pump went into the car.
  9. Also guys i tested the stat on boiling water before i put it back in and it was opening and closing

Hi guys,so i got my timing belt done and started the car and it is running well,but after around 10 minutes the water in the rad is mad hot and starts frothing the water and pushing it out of the top of the rad(cap off),and on the temperature it is staying at the 1/4 mark ,the car was lying for 4 years,but i didnt let the water out until i did the T-belt last week.Which do guys think is gone the water pump or the head gasket.Any help would be great.Thanks guys
  11. Hi guys,i just got my car goin again after a few years and noticed that the headlight bulbs and dips are very weak like candles,i was just wondering what bulbs would be good to buy,as dont really want do go down the HID route.Any advise would be great guys.Thanks

  13. Hi guys and gals,i just seen on the manual that to check the tightness of your t-belt you should use a push pull guage,i havent got one.Will i need to get one or is there a simpler way?Thanks guys.Oh just seen this vid,does this belt look too loose?Thanks again
  14. Yea jefftt i ment the belt marks and the 4 cam and crank markings,the marks line u every time on the belt to the the back plate,,nothing is jaming while i turn the crank so all must be ok.Thanks jeff

  16. Guys i have a question about the timing marks,how many times will i have to rotate the engine by hand(plugs out)to get all 5 marks to line up again,would i be correct in saying 6?Thanks guys

Hi guys,5 years ago i got new splitfire spark plugs filled on my 300zx tt,i did less than 1,000 miles on the spark plugs.The car has been sitting for over 4 years and i removed the plugs today and seen some carbon on a few of them.When removing them today i noticed 3 of the 6 plugs werent even tight not even hand tight.I was just wondering should i change them?and if so i was looking at these http://www.ebay.ie/itm/6-x-Denso-TT-Spark-Plug-Nissan-300-ZX-3-0-Twin-Turbo-Coupe-Z32-1990-1995-/330725463811?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d00c61703 Thanks guys

Thanks very much JeffTT,i have just seen your post about changing the timing belt.Great work and thank you for your reply.I tryed to send you a PM before but i dont have permission to do so.Yea i noticed the gates slightly different than the OEM nissan belt that was on the car.The gates is slightly ticker also.

Hi all,i am having problems with the installation of my timing belt,i am fitting a gates timing belt all the cam notches are lining up with the belt markes but the crank mark is one belt notch out,should i turn the cams so the the notch lines up with the crank mark?Also my tensioner is seriously tight even with the 6 mm bolt that pushes back the tensioner piston i loosened the 3 bolts on the tensioner to get the belt on and still the tensioner has only 1mm of clearance instead of the 3.5-5.2 recommended clearance.Has anyone had this problem before,never seen a car so difficult to change the t-belt like the 300zx.:blink:
  22. Thanks guys,i have power coming to the connector just before bulb holder,so i spliced the earth wire and used a small piece of wire to run up to the bulb and it worked,looks like the earth on the bulb holder is corroded
