  1. Don't forget to get some pics up!! I trust you're fitting a new center panel too.
  2. Saloons? You're not these 'types' that calls a Citroen Xantia a saloon car are you? Personally, I'd not have the SWB (van) ;). As much as I like it, the LWB looks far more in proportion. :)
  3. Not talking about shagpile matts or those dreadful chequer plate ones. Just wondering if anyone's have conventional matts made...pics if they have.
  4. Deffinately. Yours is Saphire blue isn't it? A gorgeous colour if the paint were to be renovated. Take the car to an auto detailer who will use a collection of mop heads and grades of cutting compounds to bring the paintwork up to near-new standard. I've seen some amazing results from some pretty poor paintwork. Once done, you'll be able to see what needs doing and what doesn't.
  5. Just because it's top speed isn't the same as the Zed's doesn't automatically mean it's not quicker on acceleration His claims for 600bhp may very well be bull shit as it's very very expensive to get that sort of power from even a Rev3 version. A standard MR2 Turbo is only 0.2 seconds slower to 60 than a standard Zed and simple boost upgrades will see the standard unit producing around 260bhp. Bearing in mind the MR2 has a sizeable weight advantage over 300zx, it's not too difficult to see that they can be easily tuned to wave bye byes to the 300ZX TT as much as it pains me to admit it.
  6. It's a US publication. I bought that magazine when I was in Minneapolis and it was listed in there. The reason the 2+2 was shunned was because the TT was never available in it over there, same goes for the convertible. So, both of those models where just conventional coupes and cabriolets. If you go over on the US forums, they love the ideas of the 2+2 TTs as quite a lot of them prefer the more elegant shape to them and many of the SWB owners actually prefer the appearance of the 2+2, but never went for it because of limited numbers and the fact that the 2+2 TT was never sold there.
  7. Possibly the most reliable supercar ever made too....as, for some reason it was classed as that, possibly due to its mid-engined layout, unlike the 300ZX for some reason which mostly was classed as a GT...even though performance is similar. There is a company in the US that makes twin turbo kits for the NSX, giving it a healthy jump up to 500bhp on relatively low boost.
  8. That's horrible. This is far nicer. BTW, the MK1 looked so much nicer than the bug-eyed MK2 version. :) BTW, if anyone hasn't guessed yet, HRE wheels give me the mega horn!!!!!!!! :)
  9. £30k? You can get nice ones for just over £20k.
  10. Unless you've got aftermarket rims, I'd never bother with fancy valve caps. Gutted for you though.
  11. Sorry, I did just see you knew that...durr..lol
  12. He's got second hand rear lights, so suggest that he won't have the 2 coils of tar supplied with items when new. Not sure if you can get the tar coils new from MJP. I'd ask Mike and see. Better off making a good job of it. I cleaned mine all up and used the new tar coils when fitting mine. Centre panel needs no tar though.
  13. They're cheap, only a few quid. Makes a nice difference for sure. :)

Shall edit the link for others... ;)
  16. ^^^ That's more like it. When the Esprit started too really get attractive. V8 Twin Turbo. Gorgeous sounding and looking. Still circa £20k though for the. I'd more than likely go for a Honda NSX. Not as quick, but there's something very special about the NSX.
  17. I got sent to one of those too. I questioned the speed-choice lecturer about the inaccuracies of the braking distances stated in the Highway code. Re: the fact that they are taken from tests done in the 60s using an old Ford Anglia, with no servo assistance and all wheel drum brakes...to which her response was. “well, we believe that due to increased vehicles weights, this cancels out the modern efficient braking systems fitted to new cars and as such advise that braking distances will remain almost the same”. I of course almost uttered the words 'yer bo11ocks'. But instead quoted a number of cases where car publications, where braking was tested on newer cars and found that in some cases, 50% of the distance was knocked off the old figures. To which the only response I got was 'we can only go by our figures'...which is guess is fine, but does skirt round that issue.
  18. They all have the same underseal protection. UK zeds just suffer badly because UK roads are salted. Japanese roads are not. Local authorities over there spray ground volcanic ash on roads that suffer from Ice. Also adding to the fact that UK cars have twice the mileage on average than JDM zeds.
  19. That's about £170. On that basis, tax is going to be approx £50 and shipping about £60 - £100. So at the very least it's going to be the same price as SWZ. But far more hassle. I reckon in the end it would still cost more than it would do from SWZ.
  20. I'd suggest that SWZ is still going to be cheaper. You'd be paying approx £60 tax on that and an additional £60 - £100 at least on shipping (Cost me £50 to ship a carbon fibre spoiler). So estimate final cost on arrival in the UK of at least £350.
  21. I love the Honda NSX. Deffinately going to be the replacement for my Zed one day. :) Gonna hang onto the Zed for another 2 or 3 years at least! Owes me too much already!
  22. Not driven an XK8, but never liked their appearance. Remind me of a boat and the Elise, it's good fun to drive, nippy but not especially quick (early ones). Too small for me really although I've driven a few of them and a VX220...prefered the VX220.
  23. Pie eating contest.
  24. Looks like you're heading down there then! LOL
  25. A few ideas for you. 1: Go clean the car.....if no illumination, then see choice #2 2: Go crack one off on yer missus' bresticles. 3: See what's on TV....if nothing, then see choice #2 4: Post spam on the forum, if run out of ideas, see choice #2 5: Go down the 'offi' and get some tinnies. If run out of cash, see choice #2 6: Go for a drive, if run out of cash for fuel, see choice #2 7: If you can't think of anything else, see choice #2 HTH lol
