  1. Not this again. :(
  2. You're likely to get an Auto TT for £3k. But you're almost going to be scraping the barrel for a TT manual, although some do go as low as that and sometimes lower. But generally, reasonable Manual TTs go for £3.5k and then for a good one, you're looking at about £4 - £4.5k. £5k upwards should see you a very nice manual TT. So I'd suggest that buying a tidy well maintained one for under £3k unless it's an auto, may not be something all that simple. Even good Autos will fetch more than £3k.
  3. Guess I could take a photo of my rear panel and get them to use the 300zx font from that. lol
  4. Totally agree. Not sure why there is such a vast amount of badge snobbery towards Vauxhall. As much as it would pain people to read this, in recent years, Vauxhall has made a lot more interesting metal than Nissan have over here. We have the Astra and Vectra VXR 240 and 280bhp respectively, the VX220 in both 2.2 and 2.0 turbo format, the Zafira VXR (a 200bhp mini-van), the Monaro, a 6.0 LS2 powered RWD beast. Remind me again what interesting motors Nissan sell at the moment. Only the 350Z springs to mind.
  5. Nope, don't think they come with LSD, but you can buy kits from Quaife and Getrag (who make the gearbox). This Elise's chassis is also slightly different. The VX has minor tweeks more powerful brakes with the addition of servo assistance and ABS.
  6. ...and give the wheels back to Halfrauds. That spoiler is horrid though. Can't understand what was going through the person's head when fitting it. Doesn't match up with the car in the slightest sence of the word.
  7. It's the same as the Elise and the Exige. It's no luxury car. Stripped out track weapon. Everything is carbon fibre and aluminum.
  8. Really like the VX220. Nicer looking than the girlie Elise. Better engines too. The 2.2 is good enough and the 2.0 Turbo is a stomper of a car. With CS3/CS4 Courtenay management, you're looking at over 300bhp, I think CS4 is over 350bhp, which in a car that weighs only about 950kgs, will leave almost everything on sale on the British market for dust. I was lucky enough to have a drive in the VX220Sprint. A Vauxhall test development vehicle. Fantastic car.
  9. No wonder it's £1300. Just look at that!! :hurl:
  10. Yeah they do look stunning. Very very good choice. See you had Work Equip on there before. Again, lovely rims. Really liking those Impul wheels a lot! You got anymore piccies?
  11. There's a 'wanted' section down the forum mate...
  12. Bud, I emplore you to write a full build thread on your car with photos and everything. Think it would make a really interesting read as I love what you've done to yours.
  13. Baz, is that your car in your sig pic? Those rims are gorgeous!
  14. Oh dear. Those lights remind me of hemmeroids.
  15. LOL, depends if you class that as an earlier model. I'd class it as a late model. Well over half way through its lifespan.
  16. ....although I think anything post 97 will not be able to be imported....EVER..unless it has a model report.
  17. Only cars younger than 10 years require one. Everything else just needs an MOT. Of which the new rule does apply. So all cars to be SVA'd now need a model report as you've stated.
  18. Cheers Danny.....I see there's a logo upload facility...can one upload Nissan badging etc?
  19. I've seen some very very tatty looking so-called low mileage cars. Know exactly what you mean. The guy at the bodyshop thinks the interior of my Zed looks like brand new, so can quite happily say, pretty sure my mileage is correct and others that have seen the car say it's one of the tidiest they;ve seen. :) Should look even more tidy by the end of the month. :)
  20. Guys, do you know if Autostyle have the little lug cutouts at the base of the drivers mat?
  21. They look nice Danny! Those Z32 contoured matts then for yours? Thanks for the link Dave.
  22. Quite rare these are, as stated. Probably looking at paying more than £5k for one of those. I paid £5k for my pearl white 92 last year, although mine is a rareish colour plus mine's a TT Manual. You can get some cheaper old ones, but 94 and newer can be hard to find and the price reflects that. I'd say the pearl white at the top of the page is about the going rate for one. Newer low mileage (Series 3 and 4) tend to demand good money still if they are TT manual. I'm sure you'll find one about £5k, just might take some looking.
  23. Doah! Didn't realise they had IAA valves as well. Learn something new every day! LOL
  24. You mean AIV valves? They are air injection valves. I think they redirect fuel vapour back into the inlet.
  25. There are new regulations for importing vehicles under 10 years old. You should be ok with a 95 and early 96. There are few over here, because production in the UK stopped in 93 I think and the 300ZX isn't the importers' choice of car. Older cheaper ones find their way over because A there isn't a huge demand for them and B, they just don't generate as much as they used to. Which is nice, I don't want to see the market flooded with the things like Imprezzas and such like.
