  1. I miss-read. Sorry. You want to repair both. I'd get them done by a recommended turbo reconditioner.
  2. Buddy, you need to drop the engine to get both turbos out (althought it has been done insitu before), so it really would be a false economy to repair one or fit second hand ones.
  3. Calipers warping? You'd have to drop them into a forge to get them to do that. The disks may be warped though. Noise though probably sounds like the above, a seized piston in one of the calipers, dirt in the pads.
  4. Thought a few might be interested in this. One of the very few remaining good ones. Looks like it's had good amounts of money thrown at it. ZClub owner car. Never seen it before, but it doesn't half look good! Absolute bargain price too. Seriously seriously cheap IMHO. Only problem is with it, it makes me realise just how worthless my Z is. If all I could get for mine was £3,750, I'd rather moth-ball it or send it off to a museum. Quite sad to see such a nice example going for small change. One of the best adverts I've seen. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300ZX-Twin-Turbo-Man-UK-Car-400BHP-No-Swap-PX_W0QQitemZ140273831533QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item140273831533&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1308&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  5. They are interesting. I kinda like them, but find they have limited road presence. One of those cars that looks better on the page. Looks too much like a Mazda-6 rather than a defined sports coupe. The rotarys don't sound good with big exhausts either. Hope you enjoy it. Would rather have an RX-7. :)
  6. What's actually happened to your engine?
  7. I think in a few years most parts will become unavailable from Nissan. The Z32 is at that point where it's been nearly 10 years out of production and as such, car manufacturers are not obliged to support that vehicle anymore. The same thing has happened with the Z31 and parts are hard to get hold of.
  8. Not my idea of humour. Cheesy Bob Monkhouse type humour. I prefer stupidity type stand-up comics like Lee Evans.
  9. It is totally excessive. I know there are speed limits to be adhered to, but this is completely singling out the motorist and making money out of them. Doing 80mph on a motorway is a minor offence, not something that one should be penalised with through via constant fines, license endorsements, bans etc. It's has 'easy money' written all over it which is why all the payback values are so clear. If anyone drives on the M42 on a regular occasion will know, it's how much WORSE the variable speed cameras make driving. Everyone is constantly watching their speedo and not the road. It's constantly disrupting the flow of traffic, people braking, accelerating. It's not only dangerous to do that, it's also more environmentally unfriendly. This project has been talked about for some years now.
  10. I am so happy my Z has absolutely no rust on it what so ever. Think I'd be beside myself if it did start to scab. But I think there's almost no chance of that. I'd look at saving it though if it's just the sills and then get the thing waxoiled pronto!
  11. Acers are a cheaper brand I think. Doesn't mean they are necessarily crap. I think they are one of the more popular brands. The motherboards are probably all made and populated in China, just like HP, Dell etc. They are all generally installed with a Microsoft operating system which is where the problem lies. My GF has an Acer and whilst it's not the most aesthetically pleasing laptop, it's got a reasonable spec and works well. I've had quite a number of laptops, Fujitsu Siemens (which I thought was pretty crap although reasonably rated), Toshiba, Dell and Compaq. Currently have an old Dell D600 for work which is due for replacement. Windows XP on it. Desperately slow, but never seems to crash or do silly things. Very robust. My own personal laptop that I use for p0rn, ebaying and other general clap-trap is a Compaq Presario V6000. It's about a year old now, but was a good spec when I got it and it still runs well. Nice build quality and a really nice design. This runs Vista.
  12. Britain has it's merits, but its not a country I'd like to remain in. My only reasons being the weather, the lack of any space and the absolute uncontrollable vehicle conjestion on the roads. I can cope with everything else. Quite fortunate to live in the civilised western world regardless of 'issues' people have with various government decisions. I'm fortunate enough not to be in poverty, to have a doctor I can go and see when I am ill, to have transport, a place to live in an area with very little crime rate.
  13. Did you go to that with Steve Burns?
  14. A few of us went out in Hollywood. Yeah, it's full of strange people. But sure, there are some cool cars driving about.
  15. Just seen it in your 'rides' section. Looks nice mate. Skyline GTS wheels look pretty good on the Z.
  16. T'was great thanks! Some amazings cars out there. Been invited to another Z fest next year. Branson Z fest in Missouri (yearly event). Sometime in May I think. Will see how funds are by then. Spent too much this year!
  17. It's ok I guess. Wish it was cleaner. There's still bits and bobs to do to it before I am happy with it.
  18. LOL. Not at the moment as it's SORN. I decided not to re-tax last week as I am fitting more new parts etc.
  19. LOL @ the painted bonnet questions! Great photos. :duffer:
  20. Only show TT as NA was never available over here so parts listings will not mention NAs in the main. It is the same filter though.
  21. Partly done by Jimmer and myself and partly done by a trim shop.
  22. Bigger photos for those that have bi-focals.
