  1. For that money, I'd rather have this over either of those two. I don't care that the GTR is quicker. I've been in a GTR, amazing machine, but just doesn't do it for me in the style department. Same with the R8. It's just a little too similar to the TT. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/594685.htm
  2. Vinyl is what leathette is made from. It's just lightly textured to give a leather look.
  3. That's not a big dish. lol the lip is small too!
  4. Few other 5/6/7 spoke wheels from cars I've photographed in the past...these were all taken at various Z / Nissan /Jap meets when I've been in CA. :)
  5. ....a stunning and rare wheel. Not sure if they are available anymore. A few years ago at my first LAZ32 meet, one of the guys rolled in with a set on this imaculate saphire blue TT. They look far better in the flesh.
  6. ...these are probably one of my 2 styles of my favourite 5 spokes.
  7. I am too, but there are more beefy and aggressive looking wheels than the gramlites. They rave about them on the US forum, but I've never seen the appeal. There was a guy over there who did a before/after shot of his. He had ADRs on there previously which look a gazillion times better than his gram lights. The 57fs are just a really unflattering wheel IMHO. 57fs I just think they do nothing for the car. I'd rather have stock UK TT wheels.
  8. I've never been a fan of the look of the Gram lights. They do weigh next to nothing though.
  9. So the catfish and chicken-wire is going? ;) Don't blend it this time. You should go for the car.mad nose panel if you're going aftermarket. Hope you're keeping that colour, does look nice.
  10. What bodykit are you going for.....
  11. They are on all Zs. It's part of the manufacturing process when joining rear 1/4 and outter sill together. Any that you have seen without them are ones that have had filler splodged into them. The LWBs have them too.
  12. People are beginning to see the value of them again! Woohoo! I never thought I'd see the day when someone would buy a Z to sell for a profit rather than to break it for a profit. Sorry for your loss though. :(
  13. Have you looked at some of the wheels at ZCentre? This was more the style you were looking for? They are extremely cheap. Not really my thing. I'd rather save my money and get something nicer, but this is a start? http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_45&products_id=204
  14. SHITE I think that was what Bri was trying to say. :wack:
  15. If you're going to invest in some new wheels, I'd save a bit and get a quality set. Your current wheels look nice enough for the time being. I'd certainly not grace any car with 90% of the poor quality wheels on display at Halfords. Still suprises me that they sell BBS there.
  16. Is it possible to tell via conZult whether the Det sensor is doing as it should?
  17. I don't have an opinion on them. Let's just say they remind me of a pair of chav's trainers for some reason. They aren't directional either, so you'd have 2 wheels rotating one way and the other two rotating the other.
  18. Like a Scania truck's airbrakes? hehe ;) Nice one Stu! Bet you fell in love with the car all over again.
  19. That's what you pay for quality forged mono-block wheels. As Dave has said, cheaper brands are cast. Unfortunately, the UK market is absolutely flooded with cheap cast wheels. Very little choice for the larger RWD cars unless you start importing wheels from the US or Japan. Forged mono-block or forged 2 and 3 piece wheels get expensive, but they are of good quality. Not as heavy, stronger and most of these tend to be build for higher end cars, so cater for the widths. Most of the top-end forge multi-piece wheel manufacturers like BBS, Advan, Work etc will actually allow you to tailor make your own offset, PCD and width, giving you the ultimate package you desire. Stance is all IMHO which is why you get cars with a stance as aggressive as this. A perfect stance can so 10fold for the car over any bodykit. The JWT test car had Work Equip wheels with Jim Wolf’s offset spec. They crammed 9” wheels to the front and 10” to the rear tweaking the offset just right so that the edges of the wheels stuck right out into the arches. Having the perfect stance is something I try and strive to get. Unfortunately, I’m doing it whilst trying to maintain the original arch lip without any rolling.
  20. Z1 have over in the states. There's a chap over there running over 500bhp on stock internals. Runs 13.5 PSI on regular pump fuel = 411.07 rwhp. Then on race fuel @ 23.1 PSI = 540.28 rwhp He runs 740s though.
  21. What chip are you running first off? Did the previous owner get a more aggressive map to cope with increase boost levels?
  22. Even with the older smaller stuff Dave? The likes of Greddy's Profec a and b and HKS's EVC 4?
  23. Boost controllers are safer than boost jets. I looked at fitting boost jets. Whilst some people swear by them, others have had engines die because the jets have spiked popping gaskets or causing ring gland damage. Depends how the engine was treated in earlier life I'd guess and what map you were running. Boost controller for me. If you intend on upgrading the internals later, then a boost controller is a layout you won't have to find when you come to setting the boost even higher.
