  1. The yanks all run DOT3. DOT 3 and 4 are almost the same. Boiling points just vary. But I think, DOT 5 and DOT 5.1 are silicone based? I do remember reading something regarding newer glycol based DOT5+ which is the same compound as DOT 3 and 4. I don't know what's compatiable with the Zs braking system. I am guessing it's to do with the seals? I'd imagine that DOT 5 and above need some kind of EPDM seals?
  2. You may want 2litres Gaz. From what I remember, you can get away with a litre if you're being frugal with it and have very little in the way of spillage. For the price of brake fluid, and it's not much, might be worth grabbing a 2nd litre's worth?
  3. IFAIK, yes, a complete system bleed.
  4. You'll need to swap out a bit of loom. I am guessing you have a Jap shell now. I retro fitted a series 2 passenger seat when I did my re-trim. Got given a driver's side bit of loom from Jeff @ Zedworld, pulled up the carpet a bit, ran some wires over the transmission tunnel, spliced into the wires for the drivers' seat and soldered it on. So the connector fits straight into the seat and looks factory. :) Not that anyone can see it, it's just a bit if piece of mind. :)
  5. Although it doesn't say in the manual, 1 litre should be enough. IIRC, most brake fluid comes in 1/2 liter bottles. So just get two of them, you'll probably have a tiny bit left over.
  6. It's good fun when there's two of you. Takes half the time too. I could probably swap out all your interior in about an a few hours. It's pretty straight forward after you've done it once.
  7. I'd really want to give you a hand. Just a shame you're like 4hrs drive away!! I love messing about with Zs!
  8. Just give them a good clean up with an alloy wheel cleaner and a tooth brush, then give them a quick rub down with a decent car polish. Should look nice then. :)
  9. Nice, black too! Very slick. Hope you don't intend on painting them red or yellow or anything like that!? :hurl:
  10. How come when I click on the link I still see the car then?! ;)
  11. That's right, I remember now. I had to take the rear quarter panels off to get the boot plastics out that surround the speaker. Rear panels are piss-easy then. You'll need to take the bench and seat back out, but again that's easy. The bench presses into the horizontal chassis rail, there are 2 lugs that allow it to tuck under the seat back. Pull it fup and then forward and it'll slide out towards you. The seat back is held in by 2 bolts either side on pivotal flanges. This then pulls straight out. Each panel is clipped in to the B-pillar (this is for 1989 - 1992 models without seat belts on the pillars by the way!), there is a screw securing via a flange on the floor, one at the back behind where the seat back was and a screw underneath a plastic grommet on top. Unscrew that lot, and pull it out. You'll need to pull back the weather-strip and give it a moderate tug to pop it out of its expanding metal clips, it should then just pull free.
  12. Pretty good price for a late low mileage one IMHO.
  13. Not really the same problem at all then is it! LOL Thanks mate, I had thought it might be the servo. I'll check out getting a new brake booster. Strange; everyone moans about the Zs stock brakes, other than the noise, they work very very well. I have fresh fluid in the system, new pads and good disks. The pistons also slide in and out nicely.
  14. It's about 7 seconds I believe. Top speed will be 112 on the stock restricted ECU. Without restriction around 150.
  15. Very easy! The rear cards though, you'll need to take all the boot plastics out as they sit over the backs of the rear cards...from memory. I can't actually remember anymore! LOL Anyway, it's not difficult.
  16. You can get much much nicer NA Auto than that for the price! Apart from its very questionable styling and colour combination, it looks a heap.
  17. ....are horrid! I've just gotten Sky+ and it's come with a new remote....reminded me when I got sky originally. The rubber grip on the battery cover is horrible! Every time I pick the feckin' thing it, it makes me squirm! /rant

    PMSL @ your username!
  19. This was out in my uni days and some of the best nights I had were with a group of mates, getting trashed playing this. Sad...but at the time, it was great!
  20. Amen to that brother! I've never really been into computer games. Had a few as a kid on my Amiga, ie XJ220 and Alien Breed which were brill, but Mario Kart is great. My favourite one is the one for the N64.
  21. Yeah, when it looked like this! It still amazes me at how easy it seems to be for some people to f*ck up a beautiful car such as the Z32.
  22. The diarrhea photo was too big....
  23. Seemingly, it would appear the seller has the intelligence of a Brussels sprout. Other than the car looking really really miserable, he/she has taken a photo of the mats. Seriously, why would anyone give a shit, infact, it's just as much of a turn-off as the car itself. Tazmanian devil mats are as bad as Tazmanian devil mudflaps that people 'used' to fit to their cars at the peak of the Lexarse light era. +=
