  1. I know a little about them. Looks like it has late model parts on it (I think in 87 or 88, the bumpers and tail lights were changed). Yours is an 84, so it has the correct wheels on at least. Is it a 2 seater or a 4 seater? The 2 seater Z31s are incredibly rare. I think I can JUST about make out some rear seats from the photo however - so assume it's a 2+2. Some JDM imports about, but imagine it's a UK-spec car? It's a shame about the rust as body panels are really hard to get hold of. MJP might be able to help with some of the parts. Even in the US, the Z31 isn't that well catered for in terms of aftermarket and pattern OEM replacement parts which is strange as the Z31 outsold the Z32 by a huge margin, but there are some panels still available via Courtesay Nissan in Texas. A good panel beater could replace that lower rear quarter though as it's not an overly complex shape. The rest actually doesn't look in too bad of a condition. I have seen these appear on ebay from time to time with prices ranging from between £1000 and £2000. I think they have kudos as they're very rare in the UK and I haven't seen one for a long while. I never used to like them, but they've become extremely retro (IMO) recently and with a few choice styling modifications can be made to look really cool. So if you're up for a project, go for it, it's an easier car to work on (mechanically) than the Z32. If you wanted to break it however, you'd make your money back. The wings would get about £75 each, the doors, a little more. They look rust free!
  2. Anyone remember Budda's car.....
  3. Did you put it under the tree? :wack:
  4. Low mileage 90s cars tend to for more than you think - I agree, maybe a little overpriced for the the market, but it's nigh-on brand new with 14k on the clock. It has been for sale for a few years though! LOL Cars like this seem to fetch 2-3 times this value outside the UK. UKs used values are bizarre. In the US (where new cars are much cheaper), mileage of this sort would command prices of well over $20k USD for something like this.
  5. You're welcome to that as much as you want Mike! :p
  6. Indeed - before the Volk name became known, they were branded Rays-Volk for a while.
  7. I noted the date and time of this thread and thought 'he can't STILL be drunk from Christmas?' :wack:
  8. I HATE that pickup Z32...HATE HATE HATE it!! I see it spattered across a number of facebook pages and I vomit a little when I see it. The thought of converting a Z32 to a 'commercial vehicle' fills me with absolute horror! lol
  9. Another Nissan @ 3.14 Altima Coupe - not a bad car actually, I had one as a rental in Arizona one year.
  10. Here ya go! A whopping £17.50! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-JDM-SMOOTHED-RED-FRONT-NOSE-PANEL-/191002976584?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c78aa2148
  11. You must have the original nose panel? They're not that expensive second-hand anyway.
  12. Totally agree with Z32Bolt re: the front bumper. Please say you're going to go with the smooth nose panel to get rid of the snout when the bonnet goes in for paint. :)
  13. Keep your bonnet the same colour dude - so much cleaner! Black bonnet makes the car look like it's been involved in a shunt and a cheap unpainted pattern bonnet fitted.
  14. Great drivers' car. I really like them, not so keen on the looks of the current incarnation, by the MK1 and MK2 MX-5s are great looking cars and are a hoot to drive. Nice daily hack!
  15. Rays Engineering manufacture all the wheels for the Nissan Z series cars including the GTR.
  16. Not a lot. NYE is an anti-climax. Probably going round to a friend's house. Last NYE was spent in South Africa, the previous two years in California - dodging the storms going from bar to bar paying excessive amounts to get in doesn't really fill me with excitement. Happy New Year though.:)
  17. Indeed - spring time is when I will bring mine out of hibernation, can't wait!
  18. looking great Terry!!! :)
  19. I miss my Z....always feels like the day I first got it after I take out of hibernation after the winter.
  20. I've bought original ones, yup and I am mad. :)
  21. Check your vin number.... http://www.300zx.cl/ga/300zx/images/VIN%20NUmber%20Datsun%20Z%20Car.htm
