  1. Shopping is a necessity for me. I do it only when I have to. If I fart a hole in my pants, a pair of pants is all I'll buy. Just like going to the loo, I'm in and out as quickly as possible. I never sit on the pot!
  2. Totally agree. Whilst I have no kids and currently have no plans in having any, I did the bulk of my stuff online. Christmas shopping in a high-street/shopping centre environment is my idea of absolute hell. I did in fact face it today, but I got up early and drove to Bristol just to get one item for the ex-misses/misses/whatever-she-is. NO MORE!
  3. Have a good one Rich and everyone else! Despite my previous post, I enjoy Christmas day and I wish everyone else a Happy Christmas. :)
  4. ....how could I forget!?!? THIS awful horrid tasteless nonsense....thankfully, none of my neighbours, or indeed anyone from the town I live in that I know of have stuff like this by them. The residential equivalent of neon lights, dump valves and ugly front bumpers. :hurl:
  5. I totally agree mate. Whilst I really like Christmas day itself, that's only really because I get to see my family; because my (small) family are spread over the UK, Europe and Africa, it's the only time I really get to see most of them all at once. I live over an hour away from my folks as it is. The rest of it though is hokum as I can't stand Christmas food; minced pies, Christmas Cake, Christmas pudding and Brussels sprouts literally make me wretch. I don't want to know about Christmas in October when shops start filling their shelves with Christmas nonsense. I don't want to be getting Christmas catalogues land on my mat in the middle of the summer, I hate 'are you feeling festive' questions and other such nonsense. It's all a load of repetitive rubbish; the shops are just ridiculous (the Christmas music is even worse), the waste that gets thrown away, not just in terms of trash, but the food is plain awful. I don't like waste and food waste makes me really angry as there really is no need for it. Did you know that the amount of food thrown away every year could feed all the world's starving? I am not going to profess to be some sort of eco-warrior or whatever, but the greed and gluttony at Christmas time leaves a real sour taste in my mouth - it's also in the middle of winter and I can't stand winter! The Christmas we know today and see around us is pretty gross IMO. It's an over indulgent billion pound enterprise based on a religious festival that few seldom take note of anymore with pagan origins. I am not religious in the slightest sense of the word, spiritual yes, but not religious and for me, the 'meaning' of Christmas is nothing more than a story (a nice one I'll add, but a story, none-the-less). I am no scrooge at all either before you start thinking that because I really enjoy buying presents for my close family, I donate to charity and love the day itself, but the rest of it is puerile. The repetitive DREADFUL Christmas music grates on me like you have no idea - at least we don't hear Gary Glitter being piped through distorted speaker systems down every High Street anymore. Why do people have their decorations up at the beginning of December? Some even have theirs up in November! You're expected to be 'happy and festive'. I like to be happy in my own time thank you very much, not forced to be happy JUST because it's Christmas. I am generally a really happy person, but the expectation of someone to be happy...it's all false and *****cks. The expectation is to spend spend spend. Whilst I have the luxury of being financially comfortable, what about all those folk that don't? People do the best they can with what little they've got, but suicide rates are at their highest at this time of the year due to the pressures and strain of Christmas. Christmas would be so nice if it was like Easter. I know that Easter stuff goes up in the shops pretty much as soon as the January sales start, but the thing I like about Easter? It's not rammed in your face 24/7 for 3 months of the year. Easter as a religious festival actually has far more significant importance also. But you're left alone at Easter pretty much in celebrating it for what it is and without the pressures that this silly time of the year has to bring. That said, if Christmas wasn't the money making enterprise that it is today, the retail sector (which makes up a substantial part of the UK economy) would be on its arse.
  6. No, because NA didn't have wider rears. JDM cars have a large triangular cutout behind the number plate allowing a bracket go be slotted through. If your number plate isn't wide enough, you'll see the cutout. USDM cars have no rear licence plate bracket and also had no cut-out as licence plates are screwed directly into the bumper.
  7. Nope, only Euro and Aus/NZ cars had that. There are actually differences between USDM and JDM rear bumpers, despite their apparent identicalness.:) Hardly anyone knows about them.
  8. I've never seen a UK car without that.
  9. Canadian cars came with headlight washers too. Aus and NZ native cars were all NA 2+2 and visually, shared a lot of similarities to the Euro models, so came with Euro rear bumper, wing indicators, dummy smoked front corner indicators and the Euro style number plate holder.
  10. ........there is one anomaly however - appears to have an early USDM nose panel or they've smoothed it. Only 90 model USDM Z32s had a badgeless nose panel. ALL Euro cars and 91+ USDM cars had the Nissan hamburger logo, Canadian and Australiasian spec cars too. JDM cars all had the 'Z' badge.
  11. Other smaller differences - minor flair to the leading edge of the rear bumper (can't really see from this angle, but it's there), blue tint glass, wider rear wheels (distinguishable from JDM cars), indicators on the wings (distinguishable from North American variants), number plate holder - only fitted to Euro versons and lastly (can't really see from this photo) only Euro versions had the wind deflector on the drivers side windscreen wiper.
  12. Without question a LWB as it's a eurpean specifcation Z32. What has 'having no rear mud guards' got to do with it!?!?!?! lol
  13. Had them on Mustangs for a while....I don't get their appeal if I'm honest. Look a little 'fairy' to me.
  14. I know, I forgot that was what he had.
  15. Ok cool. Anyway, like I said, your rears look fine from there, even though you haven't lowered it yet. The fronts look like they need the spacers though.
  16. Sure, it'll get rid of the gap above it, but it won't get rid of the cap between the top of the wheel and the leading edge of the arch. It won't bring the wheel out. Are you fitting camber adjustment arms? You will need spacers for the front, no question, the rear I'd leave alone TBH. I thought you had 265 on at the moment, my bad. 265 is ok. Should give a nice flat tyre-wall.
  17. Arrrrr those wheels, agreed, they're nice. You could probably get 275s on the rear of those quite happily. I'd say the rears look ok, I really wouldn't add spacers to those, especially flare the arches out as it'll look all wrong. Flared arches only really look good with aggressive fitment and dished/wide wheels. You have neither, leave it as it is. Where you want to concentrate your efforts is on those front wheels! I'd shoot for 15mm bolt-on spacers for those, to bring them out flush with the arches. Then paint the sills on your car red! :)
  18. I you measure the centre face on a lot of split rims or something like an 18" wheel, you'll see that the face is about a 16" and the rest of the diameter is made up of the rim and its shoulders. I think you could turn a stock wheel into an 18" wheel if you turned it into a 3 piece wheel.
  19. Flaring the arches out is not just tweaking it a bit. Get some photos up dammit! :p
  20. Well the obviously don't which is why you're asking about spacers and getting them rebanded. If you start rolling arches to get skinny wheels to fit them with large spacers, it'll resemble the paper Porsche above.
  21. 5mm either side isn't going to make a whole lot of difference as a perspective. Any photos of the wheels either off or fitted? You have to bear in mind that whilst some wheels might be 'awesome' to look at, if they don't fit the car correctly, then they just aren't gonna look right on it. I often find, fitment is far better than style sometimes.
  22. No, I think you'd be better off with wider wheels!! :)
  23. No worries. One thing I'll add, from looking at your other thread is the fact that if you're going to add 50mm (effective) to the track of the rear of your car with the wheels you currently have, it's gonna look really strange from the rear.
  24. For the cost, you're better off getting new rim sections made up. TBH, you're probably better off selling them and looking for some with a more aggressive setup.
