  1. The car would have been de-registered if a scrapping application was processed against that vehicle, therefore they'd issue a new number.....but I didn't think you could re-register a vehicle that had been declared as dismantled?
  2. Correct! Would look stupid.
  3. I laid a massive log this morning Bri.
  4. Scroll down through all pages...you probably have one that's been sat there unread and you haven't realised it.
  5. Yeah, probably run over something that's just damaged the tread not the tyre shell. What's your current tread gauge say? Looks like you're 2/3s to 3/4 worn as it is. You could always buy some good part-worns.
  6. Looks like it hasn't gone as far as the lowest part of the tread. I'd probably change them anyway though, but I don't think they're dangerous.
  7. Yup! The Fairlady 1500 Roadster was the first with the Datsun 2000 Sports primarily designed for the US market. I've been in one! Cool cars!
  8. Looks great dude! What are your plans for the wheels?
  9. So you'd cut your revs whilst the car is developing maximum power? Good one, that, I'll have to remember that in the future.......
  10. No filler on mine and I'd advise against filler on flexible urethane bumpers!!!
  11. Front bumper takes an age, but if you're changing it, then you're saving yourself a lot of labour!
  12. Yes it's moulded in on both the front and the rear. The stuff on the sides is some sort of bitumen. The sides are easy to sand, the bumpers are actually quite hard and bind up sanding disks very easily. I had my front sides and rear done about 7 or 8 years ago and it really smartens up the look of the car.
  13. On a black car, I'd say go the 99-spec route, on lighter coloured cars, 89+ TT is my favourite WITH moustache! Having said that, unless you can get a bumper extension to go on the 99-spec, I'd say get a Stillen extension for yours as it looks unbalanced with just side skirts. I am very fond of the original bumper and the way it tucks in neatly around the front and follows the same contours of the dropsides. So pleased with how mine's come out, you'd not get the same effect on a black bumper.
  14. He should have done, but he'd not have been able to service them as BAE systems were winding down support for the programme.
  15. Nice work. Surprised you didn't have the stonechip effect smoothed off of the rear bumper though....
  16. Or left rotting out on runways. There's one sat out at Heathrow and one sat on its own at the end of (the now decomissioned) runway at Filton (Bristol), where most of the Concorde developments and test flights were carried out from in the 60s. Most aviation enthusiasts would consider Filton as being the spiritual home of Concorde. It's cool having one only a 10 minute drive from my house, but sad seeing it sat there rotting away like a discarded toy.
  17. I'm flying Dreamliner to the US next month. I took one of BA's new A380 super jumbos over to Los Angeles a few months ago (premium) after they finally pensioned off their creaky old 747s. The A380 has to be the quietest aircraft I've ever flow in, I was blown away by how smooth and almost non-existant the noise level was compared to even an A340. Only downfall with the BA A380s was that they didn't go for the optional tailfin and belly mounted cameras like Singapore Airlines and others went for. It's not the most attractive aircraft in the world, but damn, was it impressive! Interesting to see what the 787 is like!
  18. Joel....this is Pedro's car. With old Pennsylvania license plates on. Thought you'd moved to Florida?
  19. Hey Pedro. Sorry, I meant to reply to your PM on 3ZC yesterday, but ended up getting a call and completely forgot! I'll reply to it now! :)
