  1. Wow, I always thought these were a little pointless too, but if that's really what they do.....hell, I'd rather hammer a masonry nail through my scrotum!
  2. I really don't like the TwinZ front bumper AT ALL. It's one of the only things they make that I don't like as all their other stuff looks fantastic. That bumper makes it look like a Dust Buster....or a basking shark!
  3. Sounds pretty good! Worried about the 'new front end' though. :(
  4. I can see you ruining that wide arch! :(
  5. Every time I hear them Steve, say 'Oh no' to myself!
  6. Just ordered 3 or 4 different styles from a number of places and fitted the one that fitted the best. Sorry, can't be much more help than that. Correctamundo! It's no secret that I can't stand them. There should be a better collective noun for automotive detritus, under its description would be 'atmospheric dump valves' in addition to LED washer jets, aluminium tax disk holders (why do you need something made out of aluminium and machine screws to hold a tiny bit of paper to a windscreen?), seat belt harness pads for regular seat belts, under car neons, large aluminium type razor blade spoilers, fake rear disks, Lexus lights and ANYTHING made by Rickbrook or Foliatec!
  7. Still better off without it! Mitsubishi's own WRC Rallyart cars don't even have them. ;)
  8. Oi! That's my saying! :wack: I totally agree though. I've been saying that BOVs are useless tat for years, even before reading Greg's report into them on TwinTurbo.net. Back in the early 2000s, a mate of mine bought a Cavalier Turbo and fitted one against my suggestion. After having it fitted for a few months, he wasn't impressed with it and reverted back to the standard recirculating valve, he found that not only did it run better, but that responsiveness was also better. As much as they are down to personal taste, they have plenty of negatives. Spunking out £220 on a pair something that does nothing just leaves me bereft. A willy waving McDonalds car-park modification if you will. :) IMO, never has there been such a good case for something being so utterly pointless. :) Hell, not one single manufacturer the world over has fitted one to a production car, that probably tells you something.
  9. I for one am glad you're refitting it!
  10. Would have thought that was pretty obvious?
  11. Yes...it's what a lot of people do.
  12. ...and very ugly! I used to live in Malvern which is where the Morgan factory is. I used to see the Aero8 quite often and boy is it a cross-eyed ugly mother of a car. TBH, Morgans have never appealed to me.
  13. As above, check the earth strap, also, clean up the battery terminals both on the battery and the harness. The harness terminals can corrode leaving chalky deposits. If you're not getting the correct current draw through them, it'll only be enough to activate the relays (which is what you're getting). Make sure the battery has good charge too, you say it's a 'good' one, but double check.
  14. Yes, just be gentle with it and don't over-tighten the screws as you'll crack it.
  15. Take it back and ask for a 55Y which is the correct filter. Looking at the ident numbers, that's for Nissan Micra engines. Maybe he thought you had a 100NX or a Sunny ZX Coupe. Main dealers are pretty clueless when it comes to the Z32.
  16. Much better! Now time to get rid of that horrible red tubing! :)
  17. Well there are only about 4 or 5 in the club I think! :)
  18. My 91 had 60k on it when I bought it 10 years ago, it didn't have a spot of rust on it and still doesn't. Well, that's what we're here for! There's a lot of knowledgable people on here and a lot great info locked away in the search engine. Be good to see more photos of your car. If it is a 98, it would be one of a small handful of late model cars! :)
  19. I am not trying to be an ass....but something doesn't seem right. I might be wrong, but trying to help. :)
  20. I'd have thought it would be pretty obvious where I was going with it. For a 1998 model Z32 that's only really seen 4 years of use on UK roads to be covered in rust (your words) means something isn't quite right irrespective of the UK documentation. Photos of interior trim generally gives a hint as to what series the car is from.
  21. If it was imported in 2004 and your log book says it was first registered in 1998, there's definitely something amiss. The UK log book would only give it's first registration date of that when it was in the UK. Year of manufacture however again has to be stipulated.
