HRW Broken - Options?
They're rigid, so they don't really 'seal', they're merely a trim panel.

My little stereo downgrade and subsiquent upgrade! (Ongoing)
Appreciate it! Thanks Richard.

HRW Broken - Options?
Rear heated windows are the same on all Z32s. The glass is not too difficult to transplant if done professionally. I've had my rear screen removed 3 times now. The top trim can be reused, but you'll need to get the fasteners cut through (on the inside). The lower seal however goes hard and is always worth replacing as they shrink.

I'd get in touch with Deatschwerks then in that case. I've yet to hear of the new versions failing in such a way.

Correct, it's just their early ones that you need to avoid like the plague and they're easily distinguishable by colour.

New Deatschwerks are absolutely fine and actually a good aftermarket injector. Their first foray with them was not a happy one though as they used re-drilled originals. Their new ones however are completely new and a decent injector. If you buy new, they're fine. Steer clear from their old stuff.

My little stereo downgrade and subsiquent upgrade! (Ongoing)
If it's in pristine condition and free from wear/marks I'd love to have it! Thanks dude! Do let me know how much. I have since found out that this part is used in the Almera and X-Trail models around 2001-2003, however I can't locate a part number for it. Would yours happen to have a part number on it?

Correct Andrew! Wondering whether they're available new?

......and now the decision whether to go back to single-DIN or not! The aftermarket 2-DIN fascias are 'ok' quality at best. I also find there's too much glare on the screen thus making it a little awkward to see when the roof panels are out. In my quest to get a near-perfect interior, I have decided to go back to a single-DIN setup with all new plastics and trim and a new Alpine single din head unit. Anyone know whether the lower compartment with the door is still available?

So many wrong answers! Well done Andrew for getting it right!

None starter!! :'(
If you're pulling plugs off, especially to coil pack connectors, they could be corroded and need a clean. Dry all plugs, rotate the engine with no plugs in and clean all coil pack connectors (both connector and socket).

Ali's silver shortie
If your sills are that bad, then the floor pan is likely to be on its way as will the inner sill box section. To repair the properly is costly - to repair it on the cheap only gives you a turd....Sorry, temp fix. I knew it was 4 letters beginning with a T. 2 x Z32 on a paper-round income - you'll make yourself bankrupt!

Modified Zed in Japan!!
Seen it before on facebook. What a tragic mess; looks like a failed GCSE Design student's coursework. Sadly, those in the stance or drift camp think it's w@anktastic.

240z on eBay
Those wheels don't suit the car at all. Not my slice of pie although I love the 240z, it just looks too messed with and too full of filler.

Top Gear - Who's Zed ?
Not TG, but this car was owned by a forum member for a while. 5th Gear's segment called 'Cheapskate Lamborghini' - some BS information in here, like the symptoms for a dodgy boost gauge and failing alternators. Dave Collinson owns it now.

Top Gear - Who's Zed ?
That would be been on Top Gear GTi and the segment was by Steve Berry. I uploaded it about 8 years ago to http://www.streetfire.net/video/tg300zxmpg_708674.htm but I think the streetfire website is down. The other TG appearances were : Top Gear 'burnouts' (again, sadly lost on Streefire) http://www.streetfire.net/video/top-gear-burnout-nissan-300zx-tt_635885.htm Fold-up Scooter challenge. Part way through the challenge you see a hideously modified 300zx race Richard Hammond off the lights who's riding a collapsible scooter. Dump valves all going off too; highly cringeworthy. (working link) 300zx also gets a mention in this clip. from 2.20 onwards. (working link)

Good job those awful chromed headlights are a thing of the past! Everyone was doing that 10 years ago. Never saw the appeal.

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
Gutted for you, that looks atrocious. I sincerely hope you're not using the same guy to repaint it? I can paint better than that, a lot better. Make sure you either get new window trims as they'll have paint all over them.....thinners can get some off, but they can also wreck the plastics/rubbers. I'm afraid I wasn't able to get a red nose panel badge in time from Z1.

Funny ad
Yeah, it's ****ed. That engine will need a complete overhaul including new pistons.

OEM+ Auto Shifter
Mk4 Supra dash is dreadful, the Mk3 Supra dash looks far better as does the car itself!
-
Not decat advice - 1994 import
That's because the Z32 is not listed on the emissions database.

OEM+ Auto Shifter
Nice mod! Looks less of a 'disability option' now. :) I like. Going back to Jeff's post, there are a few things that I don't think are up to much on the Z interior, the main one is the indicator stalk. It couldn't be any cheaper feeling if it tried. I'm ok with most of the other feature in the car, I think generally, it's aged remarkably well. When we look back at interiors on other cars at the time, we have the following: MK2 Astra - a loathesome dash (I owned a few of these and like them generally, but the design of the dash is utterly dated) Mercedes 190 with its timber paneling - soooo nasty. Yes we had our tweed as seen predominantly in the earlier cars and that has aged poorly too, but the shape and design of the interior does still look pretty cool as it was so different to everything else on the market, just like the exterior was.

Greetings from ZNationals - Road Atlanta - Georgia
I'm out with the Z1 guys for Znationals. Today is track day at Road Atlanta raceway near Atlanta Georgia. This is my 4th trip to this event and it doesn't dissapoint. Tomorrow is car-show day at Cool-Ray Field and yours truly is one of the judges! Only 1 photo for now, will add to this when the connection is a little better.
