  1. I would be interested to see how you get on with them Pete, I have used EBC yellows and melted them in less than 2 track days, and so have steered clear since. Good luck!
  2. Pagid rs29 are the absolute vote for me, they're not cheap but many classes above the rest. The only pad I believe is above this are the Endless pads, at yet another price range. I've never had them fade on track, and their durability is awesome
  3. Get some RainX (or similar) For your windscreen if your wiper motor doesn't arrive, or even if if does, it's an awesome product
  4. Ash, are you having a half cage fitted? If so, who's building it? I'm in the market for one for mine
  5. One of Jeff's nemessises... Or is it nemeisi?
  6. I'll start. I had mine mapped, and was thoroughly impressed with the work done. I went in to it knowing the risks and did my own previous research. As and when the engine does go bang, I certainly won't be blaming the person who mapped it.
  7. I had no issues insuring with footman James back in February mods included. Strange!
  8. It's like it, it's nice to see someone trying something different. Does something like that draw attention at shows? Absolutely.
  9. I should be there! Stick me on the list :)
  10. Alternatively, run hilariously cheap tyres and you'll never suffer from oil starvation.
  11. I looked in to the speciality z sump for mine, which if I recall is around 800 dollars before shipping. That is supposed to be better baffled as well as higher capacity.
  12. Wow, doesn't time fly! The 'prototype' is still in use in my car and is working perfectly. We never did get round to making any more. I'll let you know if we do make a small test batch one day!
  13. Cheers Andrew, I'll check the wastegates first and then check out the recircs after
  14. Are both the stock recirc valves the same? I'm trying to iron out a boost problem, and want to try swapping the recircs out. Does anyone have one going spare (or a pair if they are different) to try substituting them out? Cheers all!
  15. I bought a set of intercooler ducts that ended up coming from Australia, they were a tidy kit, but required so much to be removed to fit the bumper they were a very expensive failure. Making them yourself would be the best bet, but making them fit your bumper and around the crash bar will take some trial and error. I suggest mocking up each shape in stiff cardboard before cutting aluminum sheet.
  16. Struggled to get a good picture, but I think it's the upper one in this picture.
  17. On a LWB I have a feeling it's for the 3 point rear seat belts, mine is a 91 with lap belts and it still has the threads
  18. behind the trim panel there is a treaded hole on a LWB. Not sure about a slick top though
  19. Well said Stephen, from recent experience... I would keep the pcv In place, especially if you suspect a worn engine. Worn piston rings will increase blow by, therefore increasing the pressure in the crankcase that needs to be removed by the PCV system vacuum. With no vacuum on the crankcase, these gasses can build up to the point where the turbo oil feeds are no longer able to drain back to the sump. Keep the vacuum in and do a compression and leak down test to prove the health, as previously said.
  20. I have a set of 6 injector electrical connector adaptors for the early square to the late oval shaped connectors. They just plug into the early loom and adapt it to the late injector style. Have approx 100mm wire between ends
  21. A 50mm offset on an 8 inch wheel is very 'weak' on a 300. My father happens to own one and so I could try a wheel on for you to see what it looks like. The offset says it will probably need a large spacer to fill the arches, 20mm at least
  22. 1. Joely P - Stand Pass - PAID 2. coopd - Stand Pass 3. Slick Pete. Stand Pass + Two Track Time Slots .B + Q. PAID. 4. 23. If you're just doing some taster sessions at the moment for 20 mins at a time a decent Road tyre will be fine, as you'll struggle to learn a track fast enough to start cooking tyres, the real problem comes during a full track day, when you might go through 10 full heat cycles in a day. Road tyres don't like that at all
  24. I paid for my ticket last night, a stand pass and session O track time
  25. That's exactly why I tried them! :)
