  1. Hi all, I'm in the process of developing my own Brake Master Cylinder Brace because I've noticed a lack of availability of these things in the uk. I've heard great things from those who have fitted one, as it eliminated the flex our cars suffer from when you press the brake pedal. I'm hoping to get something smart made up. I'll keep you updated with my progress, if it works out well I may well get a batch made up if anyone on would be interested. Damn the lack of parts here in the uk!
  2. Payment sent for entry only (for now) Cheers Kane
  3. Yep, I'm writing this on my HTC one now, I'd highly recommend it. As with all smartphones, if you use it a lot, you will get through the battery in a day, but with the power save mode and average use it'll last a day. Very powerful phone, great camera. I would say if you have particularly small hands, reaching the whole screen can be a two handed affair, but be the judge of that if you can get hold of one! My verdict is go for it - - - Updated - - - Sorry, with the power save mode it'll normally last 2 days I meant to say!
  4. Got the injector out yesterday after buying some new long nose mole grips, always handy to have! Hopefully the installation of the replacement goes just as smoothly as it has done so far! I want to say thanks to Terry for the kind offer of his spare Injectors!

I'm based near Petersfield, Hampshire, I've only just checked this section!
  6. Hi all, in the new year I'll be due for new tyres, but I can't find any info on what load index we need to run on our cars. A normal tyre has a load index of 91, which allows a load per wheel of 610kg, is this enough for ours? Or is it necessary to go for an XL rated tyre, because they're coming up about £20 more each!
  7. Dremel method worked perfectly to get the bolt and cap off the Injector, but got to go and get a selection of mole grips to pull the bloody thing out. Any advice other than get some good leverage and pull straight up? Soaked in wd40 a few times to prepare. On a side note... The track day at Goodwood was excellent yesterday, even in my dad's RX8, we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I think we're hooked!
  8. Cheers for the offer Baz, but I think I have one sorted. Will let you know how I get on with the 'dremel method' of changing an Injector.
  9. Yep, the Injector gives no reading, it's open circuit. The contacts are green, although I have cleaned the contacts to try and get a reading, it seems to be a well gone!
  10. I have ohm metered the Injector, and get nothing, but do get a pulse from the connector incomming
  11. I suppose, the next question is does anyone have an working Injector that I could have for a small fee? :)
  12. I've been preparing my car for weeks for a track day tomorrow. At lunch time today, it decided to drop an Injector... No way It can be sorted by tomorrow at 8am. First engine problem I've had, at the worst possible time! My dad's RX8 it is then for the track day...
  13. Thanks for your help so far guys! I have 4 exhaust tips, individual silencers or bungs sound like the only choice, as my exhaust has no joins until the turbo downpipes, so there's nowhere to interrupt and put a silencer in mid way through. How do these bungs work mark?
  14. Hi all, I'm booked in for a track day in december at Goodwood, but the day has a limit of 98dB. I was a little worried I would struggle with the noise, even though I wouldn't call my Z loud by any means. The left side exhaust put out 99dB and the right side put out 101dB. I'm glad I went along to have it checked so at least I know before the event, but I don't think there's much I can do, 3dB doesn't sound a whole lot but it's actually quite a bit to chase in terms of cost. Looks like I'll be taking my dad's rather docile RX8. Unless anyone has some magical tips?? Cheers all
  15. Evening all! Has anyone else booked on to this track day? I've just received all my conformation paperwork through. It will be my first track day, so I'm pretty excited! The only thing I'm worried about at the moment is the noise test, I booked assuming I'll be fine, as my exhaust isn't that loud, but I've since read that 98 dB isn't all that generous? Any idea whether a 300 will pass a 98dB test? It might be worth me visiting the track to try and get a test done before the day!
  16. Imoc is one that I used to use, as well as mr2oc.co.uk, both were great sources of information
  17. The hardest part was the brackets, only one of the original bolt holes was in the right position to be used, all the other ones required the rivets to be drilled out, and new brackets made up to fit the old rivet holes. There's plenty of ways it could be done though. I'd say both seats have been in and out of the car at least 20 times to take measurements and test fitting. If you can turn a hand to a drill and an angle grinder, anything is possible!
  18. Although they don't have the tilt forward function, there is still access to the back by tilting forward and then sliding the seat. There's also a strap that is accessible from the rear to tilt it forward. The number of times I have people in the rear seats isn't worth worrying about. Whats the point in making your passengers thinking they'll be comfortable in the back anyway :)
  19. They're mazda RX8 seats. The driver's is electric, and all functions work, and both are heated, but I'm yet to decide whether to wire the heaters up or not
  20. Just shows what a practical, versatile utility vehicle the 300 really is..... :)
  21. Just finished my latest project with the 300, let me know what you all think! Before After
  22. Welcome to the club! What colour is your Z? hopefully see you around, I'm based near Petersfield
  23. Welcome Dan, I'm based near Rogate, very near you. Hopefully see you around....
  24. Apologies to for reviving an old thread... I've noticed some play in the inner steering arm, (where the rubber boot is) when I have the car in the air and rock the wheel side-to-side. Is a new set of these likely to fix the play in the arms? Cheers!
  25. yes adjustable tension rods would let you adjust the caster, when fitting them, start at the same length as the original tension rods, and ensure both are the same length.
