My local bodyshop is changing my oem 99 spec from black to silver for £200, including any blending required. £600 seems alot.. I always try to apply my work ethics - 3 quotes!

So far prices have been upto £100 to courier something that weighs very little. I think it's due to the volume of a bumper. Will call the one in Hemel this am. Anyone else ever couriered a bumper?

He lives in the area just north of Watford, and South of Bedford, inbetween, near an airport. I don't want to say exactly..

OK, so I am trying to get a rear bumper to one of the chaps on here, but it seems that every courier I try prohibits the transportation of car bumpers! Does any one know of a courier that DOES courier them that is cheap. I have tried parcels2go, Parcelforce, Paisley Freight, TNT and Citylink. :cursing:

Kenwood stereo taken from my Zed. Was working fully before I removed it yesterday. Has a fully detacheable faceplate to put off those of a thieving nature! Stereo lcd has blue illumination. £33 posted ono. Thanks!

So, my 99 spec bumper is in the paint shop and so I now want to get a new bumper plate for it. So, do I go UK and horizontal rectangular or import square style? Which suits the 99 spec best in people's opinion? The car is an import so its square import style on the rear. Also, the reg of the car is an Irish style one. Anyone got any photos of their 99 spec bumpers with plates on they can show to help?

Nice. I have always wanted to "upgrade" to a marine system from my Freshwater tropical one, but the upkeep has always put me off.

I took the Zed to JR Automotive in Weymouth for a list of small jobs to get it ready for summer (dry) motoring. Exhaust gaskets, small PS leak, de-limiter and turbo timer. Can't wait to get it back soon!

I have been told that the garage needs to return to being a garage and not a 300zx storeroom. So I need to get rid of the black leather interior I currently was storing for a future time. I have both front seats, drivers electric and passenger, in good condition, just the usual drivers seat bolster wear. Also, the rear seats, both parts, and also the boot carpet which attaches to the rear seat. I want to sell the whole lot rather than bits. Ideal for someone who has cloth interior that wants a change. The only thing that will be difficult will be transporting the seats as the drivers one is a bit weighty. So, happy for cash on collection or if you want to arrange your own courier. Photos are below, taken last month. Any questions, just ask. If they don't go in a week or so, its ebay and gumtree..

Normally the Zed is super good at being a weekend only car. But in the past two weeks, it is p"ssing me off. Basically, the battery is draining itself dead in two days. Its just started all of a sudden over Christmas, and now I am having to jump start every two days, just to keep its alarmed. Something has changed, and it may be due to the excessive rain possibly.Once charged it runs ok. My thoughts are a failing alternator or a dead battery (although its less than 2 years old and its a Bosch). Anyone got any thoughts on how to diagnose what may be causing this loss of charge in the battery?

It looks like mainly cosmetic work is required. If it is mechanically sound, then it is a good price.

OK, so it appears the gaskets between my centre and rear sections on my Greddy/Trust exhaust have expired. Does any one know where I can get replacements, and secondly, could I use other make gaskets instead?

My Zed is always outside - if I could put it inside I would, but the missus hates it (anyone remember John Madjeski, of Reading FC /Autotrader fame?). She has many names for it, none positive. So, it is a winter car and used as a daily drive to work.

Today I found a) huge gap in the middle section of my exhaust and b) how green my injector connectors were (and cyl 1 error codes). Big Up :thumbup1: to Gaz (Hellraiser) for popping over with his tools and helping diagnose these. Tomorrow I will mainly be cleaning..

I have chrome edged rims.. does that mean I fall into this R.I.C.E category?? They are Ultralites..

Damn it - The Combe is only a hour long drive away. Now I have to negotiate the A34 and Oxford..
