I had to do mine, it’s a big job, engine out sump off timing covers timing belt, while engine is out plenty of other stuff worth doing.

Long screwdriver not that hard, if you need more space take battery out. Clockwise to bring revs down cuts air flow if you have a leak somewhere. Bottom of page http://twinturbo.info/63104/157335.html

Because your idle is high the voltage would change. You can try the IAA idle screw and see if you can get the revs down, as I did then sorted the problems and turned it out again. I had black smoke but changed a lot of parts, now it’s fine.
