Don't think she feels the need for speed any more...

Tomfromthenorth and my missus...
...have just gone out for a drive in his Zed! It took a while to convince her to go for a passenger ride, but I think it'll be worth it... as he's a more "aggressive" driver than I am... ;) :thumbup1:

auto switch under steering column
I reckon you've answered his question there :)

Z Day today!
I'd say Navan, mate - it seems to sit at an angle, whereas your old one (for example) was more horizontal on the tailgate.

for those looking for a zed...
"Tiger top roof"

99-spec window switches - an alternative?
So that suggests that the foremost arrow isn't painted on... I need to have a look at all the switches I have stockpiled here, I think!

Ok, how did you get the arrow to light up...?!

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
Side panels finished last night: And fitted this morning: Looks like I'll be redoing the driver's side one as the seam is slightly off from the central trim (unless I can manipulate how it sits a little), but it's back on to paying jobs now. And at least it gets rid of that nasty silver paint from when I bought her! :thumbup1:

SWB trim screw thingy!
I need one (or two, if anyone has a pair) of the screws and plastic mounts/caps that secure the bottom of the central rear trim (the piece that sits behind the armrest) in a shortie please. Anyone...?

Cheers Gary - it should work well with the leather I've got set aside for the seats :thumbup1:

Nope. The only logo that'll be going on the upholstery is the "Recaro" emblems on the seats. Less is more for me :)

Today I decided to take a couple of hours for myself and, remembering that the rear trims in my car had been sprayed silver by the previous owner and looked lousy, I decided to strip them out and see if I couldn't "cheer them up" a little... So I finally got around to using the deep red/burgundy Alcantara I bought for the job... et voila: Quite a tricky cover to make, truth be told. But I think the end result looks pretty smart :thumbup1:

What did you do to your zed today?
What adhesive have you used?

First proper drive tonight.
The roads near mine are just ice and compacted snow... my Shortie's staying firmly on the drive til it clears!

If the weather in Teesside is anything like it is here in Trimdon, then I'm impressed you took it out at all...!!

Conzult advice / translation please
So I've just had my Shortie hooked up to Conzult (hopefully a truly worthwhile purchase!) and I'd like knowledgable peeps to have a look at the attached screenshots and tell me if there's anything I should be concerned about please :) Cheers!conzult1.doc conzult4.doc conzult3.doc conzult2.doc

Jans Zed written off
You're the only one that's admitted it publicly.... :ninja: :innocent:

Jans Zed written off
Bad news, mate!!! :( As has already been said though, the truly important thing is that you're still here and that your injuries aren't more severe!

Illuminated side markers
All sorted by my good self, mate :thumbup1:

Five inches here this morning !
I'm at the hospital this afternoon and there's a good 5-6" on the deck here... can't even find the Zed on the drive...!! So I've taken her to work and I'll be sliding around in her Celica today! :thumbup1:

SMIC connector hoses wanted
Has anyone got a set of the four standard hoses that connect the SMICs please? I just need a set to see if I can get some silicone versions made up, without having to remove my own to do so. :) To reiterate, I need the four hoses that physically connect to the inlets and outlets of the SMICs themselves. Cheers, guys :)

Intercooler couplers
Is there anywhere in the UK to buy silicone intercooler couplers from for SMICs? Or is my only option the US...?

Driftworks Hicas delete kit with BRAND NEW bushes
Due to a change of plan on my part, I have my Driftworks Hicas delete kit for sale now. :( This was second-hand when I got it, but had done very few miles - as such, the orange paint/powdercoat has very few blemishes or chips. I bought two BRAND NEW polybushes from DW which are, of course, unfitted and these are included. So this is the complete kit as found here retailing for just shy of £200 including delivery. Looking for £140 delivered to your door. Thanks :)
