The Big Welsh Car Show 2016
For me (as with so many things), it'll depend on the weather and my workload at that point. I'd like to attend though, as I really want to try and get to more shows and meetings this year! :thumbup1:

Newbie saying hi and to ask a favour......
If you were claiming that an unlicensed 16 year old old was driving a powerful car on the public roads, then I'd say that's massively relevant!!

Newbie saying hi and to ask a favour......
So you didn't drive it home then....

A Z sold ...
Every now and again, I consider selling mine... it'd be nice to free up the money :) But then I'll take the dogs for a walk or something like that, and I'll look at her sitting on the drive, looking so completely different to anything else around here and I just think "Stop being so bloody stupid!!"

Retrimmed OEM steering wheel for sale (non-SRS)
I've decided to sell my recently retrimmed steering wheel as I have a slightly different plan in mind for it's replacement. :) This is the early, non-SRS steering wheel and I trimmed it late last year in black leather (solid finish top and bottom, perforated finish left and right) with a dark red / burgundy stitching. I also fattened the rim slightly, so it feels a little chunkier in your hands. I've personally found this to be much more comfortable as the revamped rim has a little bit of "give" to it now, rather than being completely firm and solid. The wheel has seen maybe 600 miles of use since it was trimmed and is in immaculate condition. Please note: there will be no centre pad with this as I need to keep it (due it not having the cutout for the CC buttons). There may also be a slight delay in sending it out as I'll have to wait for the replacement wheel to arrive here! Looking for £115 including delivery. Thanks.

What did you do to your zed today?
My S2 indicators are now essentially the same as those blanks, mate - inasmuch that the internals have been sprayed black, which darkens the whole appearance. Doesn't make a huge differance to the light output as the actual lens is still transparent and my Zed sailed through her MOT last year with them fitted. :thumbup1:

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
I've been plotting and planning for the last couple of days, trying to work out what I'm going to do to this car and when, so here's a list in (sort of) chronological order: This year: Completely refurbished brake calipers and stainless steel lines New Hicas arms and balljoints SMIC ducts fitted Greddy boost controller All of the above at Lee Dent's, hopefully next month :) Refurbish the alloys Retrim the interior (again) Complete new exhaust system (from the turbos back) Completely strip and seal the underside Completely refurbished rear subframe Reconditioned starter motor Longer term: New turbos Replace all the glass with blue tint Remap I'm sure there'll be other things to add as I think of them / come across them, but that's a pretty hefty list to be getting on with! So that's me having no spare money whatsoever then!

brake fluid - which dot
I'd have said Dot 4, mate. That's what I plan to use in mine, unless someone tells me differently...?

Evo 5/6 Recaro
Technically, no. The usual Recaro seats found in Z32s and the like are actually the SR, not the Speed. SRs have a very pronounced and "spiky" shoulder, whereas the Speeds have a more gentle curve to that part. Other than that, they're identical though. SR seat: Speed seat: :thumbup1:

Evo 5/6 Recaro
My Speeds are out of a DC5 actually ;) The rails, however, are the genuine optional Recaro ones so the only work involved in fitting them was tightening the bolts up :thumbup1:

Evo 5/6 Recaro
Right, I've ventured up into the loft to have a look at these Evo 8 Recaros I have up there. :) The runners are bolted to the seat base using a single bolt per side at the front and two bolts per side at the back, just like the Speed seats are. So I'm going to assume that the width and bolt distances would be identical to the ones I have fitted in my Zed. Without actually whipping a seat out of my car though, I can't categorically confirm this. I can't think of a reason why Recaro would change something like that, though :)

Evo 5/6 Recaro
Holling fitted the Recaros from an Evo 8 (I think). I can't say whether the later style of Recaro seat share the same lower bolt pattern as the Speeds do (as in the above picture), though I do have a pair upstairs in the loft (long story) so I'll go and check shortly :thumbup1:
